The campsite location is mesmerising . The simple yet wholesome hospitality is soulful and homely . Nagaraj the chef makes delicious authentic vegetarian Cusine so we kept looking forward to the next meal the whole trip! Maani is great at looking after your every need . For someone like me , who’s not a big fan of the outdoors , this was a very comfortable camping experience. For nature enthusiasts there’s a lot to observe in terms of flora and fauna as this is a hub of diversity of the Western Ghats , near Sharavathi valley.

Visited late last year. Place has a catchy name, but that's about it. Summary : Location - Beautiful Stay - Tents Food - Simple but tasty vegetarian local food Facilities - Basic Activities - Just 2. 1. A morning walk in the forest 2. 10-min coracle ride VFM - BIG NO (even after a discount of Rs. 600 on Rs. 2,800 usual charges per person) If there ain't any activities worth paying this much so far away, it's not worth it.

Awesome place to have fun and adventure

We went with a large group of families and kids. We were about 18 and Kiran mentioned that they avoid multiple bookings to ensure groups have privacy. This was such a blessing as we had the entire place to ourselves These people have an amazing place. The view from the place is just too beautiful. It almost felt like Milford sounds (with the only exception of snow peaks). Food is simple and nice. I believe they r setting up their own kitchen now and hence food will become much better. Swimming was an amazing experience. Back waters are clean and beautiful. Comfortable tents and clean toilets. Hot water is available in the morning for bath - this is a big thing in such camps. Overall a memorable experience.will definitely recommend to others!

Trekking, swimming, basking in the glory of nature, good food, meditation, team building activities and planting saplings as part of World Environment Day! Lots of good memories from the two days of stay.

Highly recommend this Special Enjoyable Place for those who wish to cherish each and every moment. Rather connecting with nature - became inclusive with nature. On behalf of Environment Day we were able to contribute a bit for mother nature at Laughing Elephants Camp. At this camp interconnected with nature, environment, water, spirituality and in-depth about elephants and their hardship from human intervention. Kiran Chandrashekarji gave us motherly care and mingled himself with us as if like childhood friend. His oratory and vast knowledge is exemplary and anyone sits with starts picturing within situation. Thank a ton to Mr Kiran for this wonderful gift inbetween city's never ending tensions . Rather comforting ourselves, we were re-energised by the camp site with hearty helping hands of Mr Ganapathy and Mr Maani. Homely food was simply superb and hygienic management without disturbing nature is clear cut thumbs up. At Laughing Elephants love remains consistent and Mr Kiran led team simply delivers extraordinary secure feeling to stay there without tensions. An excellent place close to nature, pampered by hospitality, a beautiful kind heart for animals with respect for their existence in this world, will boost your emotional intelligence. An introduction to vipasasana will drive you towards the ultimate goal while engaging existing modren society's challenges in appropriately using mind's faculties suitably. Must and must go place for nature camping. If you are nature lover, nature photographer, Looking for peaceful stay then you will love it. Group activities are bonus. The owner Mr. Kiran Chandrasheka is a elephant lover. The portion of the profits will be shared for protecting elephants. GO ENJOY AND CONTRIBUTE TO NATURE.

One of the finest places for those who love nature and its serenity. We had a great time during our stay here, feeling the pure bliss of the green lush forest and the waters of Sharavati. The food was simple and tasty. A special thanks to Shashi for taking care of us during our stay. Wonderful place. Will surely love to visit this place again.

In the middle of nature away from gadgets and the world of whatsapp and instagram. This place is truly relaxing with the view of back waters from the tent. There is no sign board we struggled to locate the place.

One of the best places I have ever been to. The place is so simple and nature friendly. The food was amazing. There were lot of places to hike nearby.
