☺ The room was really comfortable, decoration is beautiful and the staff was friendly. Easy to locate.
☹ The room is noisy because of the road, so ear plugs are necessary. There is no air conditioning, but as it wasn't that warm, the fan was enough. For the price, we would expect more of the structure and restaurant.

☺ Breakfast was set menu and not an open buffet, it`s a new building with a good setup.
All the staff were helpful and cheerful.

Noisy even from the highest floor
☺ The only thing I find it good is just the building is new, so for such price it can be good if you don’t add any other extra. Wifi worked fine. Location is defined strategic as it’s on the mainroad, but the problem is the noise, if the building is designed properly, they could have avoided such traffic noise which is the main problem here.
☹ Very noisy even from our room on the highest floor, couldn’t sleep properly all night long, traffic noise was horrible. Also, there were mosquitoes but the bed has no mosquito net. Shower was okay. Restaurants need so much improvement as the food quality wasn’t that great. Basically with all extra charges for the dinner, alcohol, lunchboxes and etc as everything is not full-board, in the end, it was not worth it enough for such total price, we changed hotel without a second thought.

this place is marvelous. the welcome of the staff is magical and very warm. the food is excellent, especially the pumkin soup. and coffee .. My favorite place in karatu when I come from Arusha for a few days .. A peaceful, warm and welcoming place. Thank you for everything!

We are running our charity project in Marera nearby Karatu. Anytime when coming to Karatu we need to stop with our friends and family at LILAC CAFÉ. It is always worthwhile to stay at this place. Not only because of great food and fresh cakes but also for fantastic coffee specialities. Today we got served a very yummy Iced Coffee. You need to taste.

The best Cafe in Karatu!
Lilac cafe is a wonderful place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious. Definitely stop by if you are in Karatu!
