One of the best experience, this year. Everyone and I mean everyone even a lady who was just their supporting her friend. Was beyond kind, helpful and supportive. And this was whilst their practicing ahead of "la carnival'😊 . Honestly an environment of pure love. And positivity trust me you won't regret it. My first time here and it felt like I was apart of the community from the instructor, to the band members and dancers. Can't speak highly enough🙏

Super friendly samba school open to all levels of experience and helping you to progress musically whether you want to play in the bateria or dance. I started with dancing but got sucked into playing in the bateria instead and really loving it!

I'd never considered playing percussion and here I am at 65 having the time of my life. There was the joy of reaching performance level, sharing our music and watching people enjoy our performances. Exploring samba drumming has opened up a whole new music world and I have LSS to thank for this! So just come on a Sunday evening, be welcomed, choose any instrument and be amazed at what you can learn.

Excellent place to make new friends. All the drumming People are lovely and friendly. Mestre Fred is outstanding. Very patient with newbies. I recommend everyone to try this amazing samba experience.

These guys are absolutely amazing. I saw them playing in Canary Wharf when I was running the London Marathon. They were a highlight of the day and raised my spirits during a tough part of my run. I definitely recommend them!

This is such a fun school! The teachers are so friendly and supportive. I loved the drumming and bateria classes the best. You get to try all the instruments if you want! No former musical training necessary. Everything you'll need is there, so it's super easy. Just bring yourself! Everyone is so welcoming, too. I just had a blast!

I joined LSS in 2019 when I moved to London from overseas. I had played samba with other groups, but I still had/ have alot to learn and have found the teaching fantastic- it’s a very supportive environment to develop your samba skills no matter what level you’re at. I’ve made some lovely friends through LSS. It will always be a ‘home’ for me in London.

Very welcoming group of students, of all ages, sizes and abilities. Quality instructors, teaching authentic Brazilian samba no pé. Encouraging and inclusive environment. An amazing place to start as an absolute beginner and equally if you’re an experienced dancer as there are generally two class and teacher options.
