What an amazing break away from the hustle and bussle of normal busy life!
We stayed in Woodman's treehouse, it was an amazing experience, surrounded by trees & wildlife. We love the tree top hot tub and sauna. What an experience in the top of an oak tree. Would definitely go back for a forest reset and chill. ā¤ļø
The Woodmans treehouse is the epitome of quiet luxury. They have left no stone unturned when it comes to a relaxing experience and the small details take comfort to another level (e.g bag hook next to the bed, options to create darkness in the bedroom). I genuinely canāt recommend this place enough - a true gem ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in nature within a warm hug.
Wow!! My husband and i stayed at the Woodman's tree house for a long weekend in March. We had the most incredible few days, the tree house has everything you could ever dream of and more! It is so peaceful being in the woods amongst nature. Waking up with a view of the trees above through the sky light is pretty surreal. We could not recommend staying here enough, it was complete heaven!

Quirky treehouse surrounded by nature
We stayed in Dazzle for two nights in March 2025. We loved the quiet and surrounded by nature stay. Great weather meant we were able to take full advantage of the hot tub, pizza oven, bbq, hammock and local walks. Inside has everything you need for a short stay with an easy to use log burner, hot shower, oven, hob and comfy bed. Would love to stay again.

Stunning retreat
Visited with partner for early birthday weakend, we got ther just before it started to get dark so on your timing well if coming in the winter, we stayed in the woodmans tree house and it was amazing , the towel warmers were on and didnāt take long for to get the fire going to heat up , ther was jenga but couldnāt get it out the box properly to play it so Put it back in box, a radio that had no signal, even though ther was no WiFi we could just about get a signal on our phones (EE was better than vodaphone) the hot tub was fantastic although a wee step inside the tub would have been helpful for shorter folk like me sauna was also great and love the outdoor shower, partner used the brass bath, made pizza and had a peaceful weekend , itās a bit pebbly on the way down from the main car park and I would say a 10-15 min walk unless your sure footed and tall ther is ropes To hold and lights for the pathway but it is down so if the weather is wet be it will be slippy, itās a beautiful setting and the tree house has been thought out well just not ideal for those with mobility issues maybe we will come back in the summer

From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into another world. We arrived at night, and as we walked through the woods, the entire walkway lit up before us, creating the most enchanting first impression. It was like being in a fairytale!
The treehouse itself is stunning. The attention to detail and the incredible craftsmanship are out of this world. It felt so luxurious yet perfectly connected to nature. The outdoor bathtub was a dreamāsoaking under the stars with nothing but the sounds of the forest around us was something weāll never forget. And donāt get me started on the wood-fired pizza oven! We spent the evening making pizzas, drinking wine, and enjoying the kind of peace and serenity you just canāt find anywhere else.
The whole experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Whether it was the stunning architecture, the thoughtful touches throughout the treehouse, or the pure magic of being surrounded by nature, it was the most special weekend weāve ever had. If youāre looking for somewhere truly extraordinary, this is it. Weāll treasure these memories forever and are already dreaming about coming back!

We stayed at the Pinwheel Treehouse at Mallinsonās Woodland Retreat for my 30th birthday, and I can honestly say it was the most magical getaway weāve ever had. Out of this world!
I first stayed here in May 2018, in Twybil the bell tent. I loved the place so much, just being there in the woods made me feel the happiest I felt in years. I have been back several times since then, usually once a year but a couple of times twice, and have stayed in most of the other accommodations. Bodger the shepherds hut was my absolute favourite and I spent a week there doing an online study for work a couple of years ago. The course was in the evenings and so I spent my days chilling out amongst the trees and watching all the birds. It was wonderful! Everything is hand built and the craftsmanship and attention to detail is another level. Unfortunately the smaller spaces aren't being used anymore and just the treehouses are available. I was lucky enough to have been able to look inside both the Woodsman and Pinwheel at different times. They are definitely for special occasions, which is why I am manically saving up for my 50th birthday in 2025 and hoping for a treehouse stay! It truly is my happy place and I canāt wait to get back there again. Guy and his team are such the loveliest people and what they have created is out of this world!
