Hiring Elizabeth as our doula was the best decision we made during our pregnancy journey. We also did the 6 week Lamaze program and had a lot of fun learning all about the 6 principles of Lamaze, evidence based practices, different comfort strategies, and how to advocate for ourselves. Elizabeth is full of knowledge, energy, and joy and was such a comfort and positive influence throughout my pregnancy. She was an absolute ROCKSTAR during my 24 hours at the hospital. My husband and I were so impressed and felt like she went above and beyond to support both of us. I literally can’t imagine labor and delivery without her. I had an epidural and she constantly helped me change positions, which was part of my birth plan. She had all sorts of tricks to help me manage the discomfort of contractions and was constantly providing emotional support as well. Our postpartum appointment was extremely helpful and in just a few hours, I felt so much more comfortable breastfeeding. I did 3 consults with the lactation specialists at the hospital that weren’t as helpful as I’d hoped. All in all, I would highly recommend Elizabeth’s doula services and the Lamaze classes. Best decision we made!

My newborn wasn’t producing wet diapers and I was very nervous about him not eating enough. It was New Years Eve and Elizabeth was out of town with family, but she still took the time to assist me and check on me numerous times throughout the day and night. She has taught me so much about breastfeeding and is such a valuable resource. Outside of breastfeeding, she helped me when my baby had a major blowout and fed me when I didn’t have time to eat before our appointment. She really goes above and beyond! Additionally, she is very passionate about what she does and helps the community by hosting a breastfeeding support group. This is a wonderful way to meet other moms and talk about our experiences with breastfeeding. Thank you, Elizabeth!

The Breastfeeding Support Group that Elizabeth runs is an invaluable resource in Corpus! It is so wonderful that Elizabeth has created a space where new mamas can go every week to get breastfeeding help, as well as create community with women in the same season of life. The vibe is relaxing and supportive- just what you need when you have a baby. So glad I found it 🥰

I can't thank Elizabeth enough for her amazing support during my breastfeeding journey. When I first met her, I was worried about having a low milk supply and was supplementing with formula. I was close to giving up on breastfeeding. Elizabeth reassured me and gave me practical tips and constant encouragement. Through our sessions, she helped me understand my body better and gave me confidence that I could produce enough milk. Her kindness, knowledge, and patience made all the difference. Now, I'm so happy to say that I'm exclusively breastfeeding, something I never thought I could do. Elizabeth's dedication and care truly changed my experience, and I'm so grateful.

I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough! I gave 5 stars because of how dedicated & compassionate Elizabeth was. We started out with baby not latching at all due to a hematoma on his head. He was very tense & had a very hard time latching. Elizabeth came to our home & worked with me & baby multiple times & was extremely educated. She taught us so much & made sure we never gave up & we are now completely breastfeeding. We went from not latching, to latching only with a nipple shield & now we are exclusively breast feeding with no nipple shield. I will forever be grateful to Elizabeth for giving me this opportunity to create this bond with my baby boy.

I met Elizabeth at the weekly Breastfeeding Support group she hosts at Empower Wellness. Her knowledge, encouragement and passion lead to me scheduling a home visit, during which she gave great tips and excellent advice. Breastfeeding is hard and you don’t have to do it alone, call her to help so you don’t Stop prematurely.

Desde la llegada de mi niña tuve la atención personalizada de Eli. Aún en la distancia, pues vivo en Puerto Rico, recibí la compañía, el cuidado y orientación necesario para un post parto tranquilo. Mi esposo también recibió consejos y apoyo personalizados; para estar junto a mi mientras lográbamos la lactancia materna exclusiva. En la mitad del proceso logramos coincidir personalmente y así constatar que la lactancia materna exclusiva; guiada por personas bien preparadas es posible y ES LO MEJOR PARA LA MADRE Y EL BEBÉ. Todavía hoy, 20 meses después seguimos recibiendo información y cuidados valiosos en nuestra lactancia.

Breastfeeding is really difficult, but Ms. Santos makes you feel like you are taken care of. She has dropped what she was doing to help me when I needed help, even late at night! She empowers you to feel as if you are not alone. I am terrible at keeping up with people but she regularly checks in to see how things are coming along. She truly cares about you, you baby, and your breastfeeding journey.

La historia de como conoci a Elizabeth es larga, pero lo que deben saber es que sin ella no hubiera logrado lactar a mi niña. En medio de la pandemia me dijo si, cuando estaba perdida y nadie me ayudaba. Carismatica, empatica, Profesional. Estaré siempre agradecida.

When we needed help with lactation stuff, we contacted Elizabeth at Materna and she was there promptly. She stayed with us for hours (until 2am) until all questions were answered, frustrations were alleviated, and baby was full and satisfied. She even provided extra tips, alternative methods, and follow up care. Changed the breastfeeding and latch relationship from pain to a happy fat baby! We are so grateful for her! Elizabeth is knowledgeable, gifted, discreet and professional with sensitive subjects, and bilingual Spanish and a English. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

As an occupational therapist and certified breastfeeding specialist, I have been able to collaborate with Elizabeth on a few clients. It has been great getting to work closely with her and witness her enthusiasm and compassion for lactation care. She has been a wonderful mentor and friend. It’s been amazing to see our client’s breastfeeding journeys flourish through collaborative care. She’s also created a community of mothers through her breastfeeding support group! Elizabeth was my ‘first responder’ when the hospital failed to properly orientate me in the lactation process and the hospital actually did more harm than good. Elizabeth came to my hospital room and became available to me for consultations. She is so savvy and loving at the same time. Will be forever grateful.

My second baby was born this past July - after a very difficult birth last year with my first baby, Elizabeth was wonderfully helpful in helping me overcome fears and understand better the process of natural birth! Her class gave so much valuable information about preparing for birth and going through labor and delivery as an INFORMED decision maker! I highly recommend her childbirth classes - I went into the delivery of my second baby feeling confident and empowered!

She is wonderful and so knowledgeable! She is always happy and smiling. She makes you feel very comfortable and empowered in your breastfeeding journey. For all the military mommas she accepts Tricare insurance. If you think you need any help at all with nursing or pumping go see her.

The support groups on Wednesdays are so helpful!
