I paid Milton Garden Products £150 for stone which was not used by the builder. They came and collected the stone but at no point either on payment or collection did they say they would only refund half that amount. When contacted they claim it is their policy to only refund half of what is paid as they don't want to handle the bags more than once in case they rip or burst! They will now sell that same stone again for full price.
If this is their policy they should have told me when I ordered. I expected to pay a collection fee but not half the total amount.
I feel ripped off and will never use Milton Garden Products again.

Good afternoon.
Thank you for your review, I do feel there is a little more information though, It was the builder who contacted us as the named person on the order regarding the collection of the 3 bags of stone, The price that was to be refunded was discussed and was agreed by the builder, we do not organised a collection with and trade customer, or members of the public before a refund amount has been quoted and agreed to. Our terms and condition state that bulk bags of aggregates are a none refundable product. On this occasion we did agree to collect the bags for a collection and restocking charge which was half of the cost value for the refund amount.
The reason on why there was a half price handling charge for this or with any bulk bagged product return, is that the collection charge is included, bulk bags are 1 trip bags only and these would have been weighed, quality checked, and then rebagged.
I would like to apologize that you feel as though you have been ripped off and as a family run business, we never want our customers to feel unsatisfied, We do have to apply a fee for these man hours, and as previously mentioned the price was agreed with the named person on the order, this is also company policy that this agreed to before any collection is organised.
