A Thank You to Lauren and the Story of an Ex-Reactive Rescue Dog ✨ Oh, it was such a joy to finally take my favorite rescue dog, Nessa (an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois), home after a month of walks at the shelter. It was exciting because she was our first dog ever. But after just 5 days, we started noticing serious problems: endless barking (I'm not exaggerating when I say 500 times a day), reactivity towards dogs/people/cats/birds, protective behavior, pulling on the leash, restlessness at home, uncontrollable behavior, it felt dangerous... To be honest, after 10 days, we considered bringing her back to the shelter. We felt so incapable and thought someone else could handle it better. This was not at all the dog we had dreamed of. But then came the turning point. We desperately called Lauren, who guided us from A to Z. Thanks to her help, Nessa transformed in just a few weeks into a happy, relaxed dog. I never could have dreamed back then that we would have such a wonderful dog now. She can now walk off-leash, is no longer reactive, has found peace, is super obedient, is starting to trust people, and our bond is stronger than ever. We are so grateful to the Off Collar team for helping take care of our dog! Sandi, our walker, was always prompt, friendly, and so patient with our dog Ivy, who is sometimes scared and anxious. She sent detailed updates after every walk, including photos, and you could just see how happy Ivy was with her. We trust her completely and can't wait to book more walks in the future!

My wife and I are happy we found Lauren and Off Collar. Our Great Pyrenees was impossible to walk, constantly barking at other dogs. Enter Lauren and within a short period of time, our dog was walking by our side, not barking and listening to commands. What a wonderful trainer and walker. Lauren has been great with Karma (dog) and his parents (us). We are learning a lot in such a short amount of time and have already seen a positive difference.

I love Off Collar! Lauren has been amazing in coordinating and supporting my senior pup! Alyzah, my pup’s wonderful walker, is so good with him and keeps me informed if she notices anything out of the ordinary. They’ve both been very helpful in allaying my fears after a bad experience with another company! Can’t say enough good thing about Off Collar!

We (and our pets) love Off Collar! Lauren, Katherine, and Alyzah are so sweet with our babies. It is hard to find someone to trust with a Great Dane. They are big animals but also very sensitive and require a gentle but firm touch. Our boy is always so excited to get walked by any of them, and we’re glad to have people we can rely on to give him some company midday. Katherine also takes care of our two kittens when we are away for vacation. They are very shy, but last month, they finally came out to say hi to her, so they must have decided in the end they like her after all :) Off Collar is also very understanding of emergencies and flexible, which is hugely helpful because we have variable schedules each month.

We’ve had a few 1-1 sessions with Lauren to help with our reactive dog, Chloe, as well as monthly pack walks. She has been nothing short of phenomenal and has helped us so much! She taught us the skills and tools to help work with Chloe and we have seen tremendous progress! Additionally, Off Collar is our go-to for pet sitting services. Chloe absolutely adores Katherine who does a great job of making sure our pup is cared for when we are out of town. I can’t speak highly enough about their care and services and would definitely recommend.

I cannot say enough about how awesome Lauren is! She helped me and my dog work through some behavioral issues recently. I was at my wits end with him and had read/watched everything I could find and nothing seemed to be making a difference. After working with Lauren she was able to help identify specific issues, signs to watch for, helped me understand exactly what my dog is trying to tell me and how I am communicating with him. She is so much fun to work with and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My boy absolutely loves her! She has a wonderful balance of fun and lightheartedness (which removed the stress and frustration we were experiencing) and deliberate corrections and commands. It was awesome to see how well my boy responded to her! I have already recommended her to my friends who were looking for a private trainer and will continue to do so! Thank you, Lauren we both appreciate you!!

Miracle worker! I have a very stubborn beagle who will lay down and refuse to walk if we don't go his way. In just a one hour session, Lauren helped us make HUGE progress. A few months later now, and the methods are still effective. Bobby is still stubborn from time to time, but I'm able to easily get him back on track when I need to. I don't think I've had to carry Bobby home once since our training session, and I never thought that would be possible. Lauren helped completely change our walk experience from frustrating and stressful to smooth and relaxing. She is so knowledgeable and I highly recommend her!

Just finished my last training session and I was extremely happy! When we first started training, my dog was horrible on a leash. He got distracted by everything, kept pulling, wouldn't look at me or recall at all. By this last session, Lauren had my dog recalling outside of the dog park and loose leash walking without getting distracted at all. I was extremely impressed, highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Lauren!!

The owner herself arranged for pet sitting services to be provided. Charged in advance and did not show up on the day of service. I called her frantically multiple times for 1.5 hours and no response! It was not until I reported the matter and my credit card company called her that she bothered calling back to return the payment. Very unprofessional and unreliable. I would not recommend this business to anyone that cares about the well-being of their pet.

I love Off Collar Petcare! Lauren and her team are super organized and have been so great with my two golden retrievers! They absolutely LOVE HER! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Unfortunately, I don't have a good review for this company. I really wanted to like Off Collar, because it's the perfect fit for my dog who isn't into daycare boarding (too overstimulating), and my dog loved the sitters/walkers, but overall this is not executed well. The administrative side is not organized, and that's the foundation of a business like this. I scheduled my dog to have a series of overnight stays across NYE that included a few walks every day as well. She sent me the invoice and as I reviewed, I noticed I was being overcharged by around $130. I brought this to her attention and it was changed, but when I'm paying around $450-500 total for services, I expect a level of attention to detail and I shouldn't have to rattle off five things wrong with the invoice. There were also two other instances where I was incorrectly charged for services, and she had to revise. Again, attention to detail is important. Adding to the issue, her staff completely forgot to stay overnight with my dog on the last night of service. I only found out because I sent the sitter a text asking how my dog was because I hadn't heard from her, and she replied that she hadn't seen my dog since the prior day. I responded saying I had paid for another night and she didn't reply. Instead, the owner called saying there was a miscommunication. I'm not sure how there is a miscommunication on scheduling when I've paid for it and it should be in some sort of system?? I'm not an overly crazy dog lady, but c'mon, my dog went around 16 - 17 hours without fresh water, food, or a bathroom break. Not ok. She offered a credit to my account for the service missed. You'd think an owner who completely dropped the ball would offer a free service on top of a credit, but I digress. Last thing! I emailed her and asked for my house key back because I don't think I'll ever use this service again - just not worth the headache for what you're paying. She asked what my key looked like and how many of them she has (is my key not filed safely under my name in a filing system?), and said I still had $50 in credit, to which I asked for a refund in monetary value. She said no, because it was a "good faith credit for dissatisfaction of services", which isn't true. I told her that the credit was for her staff forgetting to watch my dog and she quickly responded that I was right and she would issue a refund....only to say that she doesn't have refund capability within her system and she'll be sending me cash in the mail. How do you as a business owner not have the ability to issue refunds?? So, I think you get my drift here. This level of service and disorganization is inexcusable. This business is fine for dog walks every now and then, but I would never recommend them for anything more than that.
