Just and amazing experience from the reception desk to Kelly, to Josh and everyone in between. Especially Dr. Kennon. 5 stars is not enough. I had both knees replaced within 5 months. I'm not a small man and 65 years old, not single regret. God Bless all who were part of it.
Great Experience with a great Surgeon
I had my first hip replacement in August 2025 and my second in November 2025.I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Robert Kennon and his team. From my very first consultation through my hip replacement surgery and recovery, Dr. Kennon demonstrated exceptional skill, professionalism, and compassion. He took the time to explain every step of the process, clearly answered all of my questions with patience, and made me feel confident and cared for. Both surgeries went very smoothly, and my recovery has been remarkable--I'm walking more comfortably and regaining mobility. Dr. Kennon's expertise and warm, reassuring manner made a difficult experience much easier. I am deeply grateful for his dedication and for the outstanding care I received from him, his staff, and the care givers at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. The hospital staff was amazing! Left hip replacement
Dr Kennon is very kind, thorough and soft spoken. He is also an expert at anterior hip replacement which I wanted as it seems to be a faster recovery. Well, I am 8 weeks post surgery and am at 90% mobility with little to no pain. I had another doctor do my right hip a couple years ago and it took much longer to get to this point. Highly recommended

Knee replacement surgery
Dr. Kennon replaced my right knee back in February 2025, I was back playing tennis (singles) in June 2025 at a level of movement and lack of pain that I had not achieved in 5 years. My only regret is that I did not have the surgery earlier. Dr. Kennon and his staff were extremely professional and guided me through the process having a major surgery so that I felt very comfortable. Dr. Kennon has a great bedside manner, but most importantly is a highly competent surgeon. My recovery was seamless thanks to Dr. Kennon and his staff and some great physical therapy and therapists.

Dr. Kennon was recommended to me by a physical therapist for hip replacement. At first I wasn't interested because his office wasn't convenient for me but she said you won't be sorry and I certainly wasn't! He is so kind and compassionate and most of all, knowledgeable. He listens patiently to all your concerns and you never feel rushed or foolish. His staff is great as well. I had to call the nurse navigator several times and she always answered my questions pleasantly. His PA Josh is just as knowledgeable and patient as Dr. Kennon. Midstate Medical Center is great. All in all everything went very smoothly I was actually driving again after 3 weeks (and I'm 80!) It's not a bad surgery and you shouldn't be afraid.

Pleasant helpful staff. Short wait times. Everyone is patient and they listen carefully to what I say. They offer options and education. And the surgery and recovery was a breeze.
I was very happy that I chose Dr. Kennon to perform surgery to my Left Knee.He is an excellent surgeon & very kind. My surgery was a success & I found that the care I received at Midstate was excellent as well. Everything was so well planned before, during & after surgery that it eased my mind completely. I recently had total knee replacement with Dr. Kennon. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering this type or any other type of orthopedic surgery. He is kind compassionate and has a soft spoken, caring demeanor when answering concerns and questions about the upcoming surgery. His book which details exercises to do before the surgery was very informative and helpful to my recovery. It will be three months tomorrow that I had my TKR and I’m very happy with the results. My range of motion has been better than expected at this stagein most recoveries and I’m doing things that I haven’t done in 10 years because my knee is feeling so much better. Thank you, Dr. Kennon for such a positive experience!
