Really excellent teaching, very kind teachers and staff, completely fair pricing. I VERY highly recommend this school. Some students come for just a week or two, others for longer stays. They will do a good job of finding the right level for you. They also offer private lessons at a fair price. This school was a highlight of our time living in Florence.

I recently completed a two-week intermediate Italian course at this school, and I am very impressed! The teachers and staff are not only knowledgeable but also very approachable and always ready to help with any questions or issues that come up. Communication is fast and smooth—even before the course started, I received many tips on where to stay, and they were very flexible with the starting date. Special thanks to my teachers, Nadia and Marcello, who brought energy and fun to each class. They really know how to make learning engaging and interactive, encouraging everyone to participate. The extra activities organized by the school are a wonderful addition as well. From aperitivi to neighborhood tours, these experiences help reinforce what we learn in class and add a real cultural flavor to the course. The atmosphere among teachers and students is so friendly and supportive at all levels, which adds to the experience. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to advance their Italian skills. I attended an intensive course for one month and I highly recommend it! I enjoyed everything about Parola, from the beginning to the very end. The contact with the school both before and during the stay in Florence was excellent, thanks to Gianluca, who helped me find accommodation, recommended extracurricular activities, and arranged extra Italian classes for me. The quality of the lessons was exceptional and my level of Italian, especially of speaking, greatly improved. I am very grateful to my teachers, Annarita, who managed to make grammar lessons fun, was always kind and helpful; and Marcello, who shared his wide knowledge of Italian culture, literature, and history. The atmosphere in the school was very friendly, and there were a lot of opportunities to meet other students during trips or aperitivo organized after classes. Overall, the month spent in Florence was an incredible experience, and I will certainly come back next summer. Grazie!

I did a 2 week beginner course at the school this September. I had an amazing time and learned a lot. The school and the teachers are really nice and are always there and open to help with any kind of issue. They also communicate very well and quick, which is a big plus compared to other institutions! I especially want to thank my two teachers Sara and Francesca, who were able to make each class fun and tried to engage everyone to participate! I also really enjoyed all the activities the school provides outside of class (Palazzo Vecchio, walking tours etc.) and the friendly environment between teachers and students at all levels. I certainly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn or improve their knowledge of Italian. And I myself definitely plan to come back and do another course if I can. Thank you again for everything and hopefully see you soon again!

I attended a one-week intensive course at Parola. This course was really absolutely excellent in terms of everything, the teachers, the school facilities, the location of the school in Florence and how the school was managed. The teachers were brilliant, extremely likable and motivating. It was each morning a pleasure going there. I was one of the "old" students being in my fifties and felt very comfortable since apart from students in their twenties, there were also students at my age and older. These mixed groups of people of different age and nationality made also the exchange between students very fascinating. So, overall, the course did not only help to considerably improve my italian but was overall a very enriching experience. A big thanks to Parola, and in particular to my teachers Anarita, Francesca and Marcello!

Es ist ein Glück die Schule Parola gefunden zu haben! Ich kann nur sagen danke für eure tolle Energie und Unterstützung in jeder Hinsicht. Einfach eine tolle familiäre aber ungezwungene Atmosphäre. Es freut mich richtig doll bei euch gelandet zu sein. Es ist toll dass man auf euch zählen kann und Ihr helft immer weiter wo ihr könnt. ( nicht nur in Italienisch) sondern auch wenn man mal im turbulenten Lebensalltag in Florenz nicht weiter weiß, konnte ich immer auf euch zählen! Die Lehrer sind mit ihrem Herz dabei sehr engagiert, um persönlich auf dich einzugehen. Das führt dazu dass man schnell lernt und auch motiviert bleibt sich zu entwickeln. Eine Schule wie ich es mir für viele wünschen würde. Danke danke 🤩 ihr seid wunderbar

I’ve had the best time at Parola and would recommend it to anyone! You feel right at home from the moment you enter and you get to know everyone very quickly because of all the fun extra activities they organize. The teachers are all great and they give it their all to make sure you learn a lot in a really fun and engaging way. Great that they help with housing as well and are very quick and flexible in communication. No wonder so many people keep coming back! Loved everything about it, thank you so much for this great experience! ❤️

I took an intensive private class with Sara and it was truly the best learning experience I ever had. She is knowledgeable and experienced. In addition to grammar she taught me about the ways that Italian lives as a language, how it is really used and how little nuances contribute to different meanings in use. Sara also has many interests and is really interesting to chat with - from the history of Florence to the arts, the opera, the Medicis, to travel, in Italy and abroad and many other interesting topics. I really enjoyed my time and I learned a lot! Highly recommend!

I’ve been taking classes at Parola for 4 weeks now and I have to say it’s been one of the best travel decisions I’ve ever made!! From day one, the school facilitated friendships amongst students and planned gatherings, activities and tours, cultivating an incredibly friendly environment inside and outside of class. The teachers truly care about their students and starting as a beginner, I’ve watched my entire class go from speaking little to no Italian to being able to converse confidently in class and out in the real world as well. The conversation classes help solidify the grammar lessons in the morning and while I didn’t take the additional private classes due to my work schedule, I’ve heard great things from my classmates who did have the time to take them. I’m a full time digital nomad who has moved to over 30 countries, so when I say that the vibe parola has created is truly unique & unmatched - I mean it. This is further supported by the sheer number of students who come back year after year to spend their summers and vacations at this incredible school. I can’t recommend Parola enough, and just wanted to thank the entire crew for the most magical summer in Florence!!!! I already miss you guys and I haven’t even left yet. I’ve been raving about this spot to everyone who will listen - 10/10 recommend and will be back before you guys even have a chance to miss me

É a 2a vez que frequento essa escola - os professores são ótimos , muito atenciosos e principalmente explicam muito bem. No período da tarde fazem passeio culturais- enfim recomendo 100%

Excelente escuela!!!. Los profesores, el método de enseñanza, la ubicación de la escuela, la infraestructura física el personal en general... . Es una buena elección estudiar en esta escuela.

I was here for a week during spring of 2024. The prices are great and the teaching quality is above average, but the class sizes were enormous. There were 12 people in our introductory class for grammar and 10 people for our speaking class, which is very distracting and you don’t get to practice much. I also booked private sessions but they had none available when I arrived Also, Florence is probably the worst place to learn Italian in Italy because you hear more English during the day than Italian, given the thousands of Erasmus/study abroad students in Florence. Even the shop owners and restaurants switch to English when you’re speaking Italian, which is not the case in other parts of Italy. I’d suggest go to a more local city like Bologna that has language schools or other parts of Tuscany that will provide more immersion

Parola is the best! Everyone there is so patient, kind and helpful. I’ve learned a lot and am excited to continue my Italian language journey there.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Parola Language School. Firstly, all the staff and teachers are friendly and make you feel like family. Secondly, the quality and standard of teaching is the best I have experienced. As a graduate of languages I have studied abroad many times over the years and I can say without a doubt that Parola's teaching style, method and structure are excellent. My teacher Nadia, explains some of the most complex aspects of Italian grammar in a clear and engaging way. She encourages participation, offers support and instills confidence in every student whilst bringing joy and positivity to every lesson. She always exudes a passion for teaching Italian which is so refreshing and motivating for students. Gianluca at the front desk must also receive a special mention for his hard work, organisation skills and kindness. He always finds a solution that meets your language needs. Parola is spearheaded by its wonderful director Simone who has managed to build not only an exceptional language school, but a learning environment in which students can expand their cultural knowledge and also feel at home. I would not hesitate in recommending Parola to anyone who wants to embark on a language and cultural learning course in Florence. 10/10!

Before coming here, I searched several schools in Firenze via email. The only school that communicated with me the best was Gianluca at Parola. He was also very helpful in helping me with housing. So I went to Parola. I started in Level 2, which was the perfect level for me. The teaching level of grammar was outstanding. The teacher Ana Rita (grammar) was always kind, caring, engaging, and she always kept me interested in the subject. I learned more than I thought I could. The conversation class with Sara and Ilaria was always fun, very creative and entertaining. I spent 1 month there. The school surpassed my expectations. I will definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in learning in a friendly, kind, caring, and welcoming environment. Also, the school is at the city center/historic center, so after class, you can actually walk 8 minutes or less to tons of restaurants, museums, churches, etc. I love this school, and I would love to go back again in the near future.

I have been going to Parola for the past 2 months and when I started I could barely speak Italian and I can honestly say I am shocked to see how conversational I have gotten in such a short time. I would recommend Parola to anyone! The whole staff is so friendly and all the teachers are great- I have been with Silvia and she is AMAZING!

Ho avuto il piacere di essere ospite in questa scuola per fare l’esame C2 CILS. Ho solo fatto una lezione più l’esame di certificazione e devo dire che mi sono trovato benissimo e coccolato da tutti i professori anche se io ero una persona esterna. Francesca e Ilaria sono state particolarmente gentili!
