I just got my doggo back from the Paw and Order board and train program a couple days ago and I wanted to leave as detailed review to help others. I will go category by category.

First contact - Very responsive. They returned my message quickly and set up an initial interview with the owner, Elissa. Luckily there was a back out due to a bad poop test so I was able to get my dog in about as quickly as you probably could. I met with Elissa and she asked me a ton of questions about our dog while she was observing all of his behaviors. She was really paying attention, and while all of this was going on, I could tell she just really loves dogs! This is a business for her, and she clearly makes her living from it, but you can tell its born out of passion and love for animals.

The program - The program is basically custom to you and your needs for your particular dog. I have a GSP so recall training was paramount for me. He is also easily excited so manners around other people were very important. you basically go through a long series of where do you rate this on your need scale and they develop a game plan from there. The length of the program is going be determined by what you are looking for, and how your dog responds to the training. They are dedicated to making sure your dog achieves its goals and they will keep them until they can get them there. They thought about 4 or 5 weeks for my pup, but he ended up being there a hair over 6 weeks.

Price - look I'm not going to say what I paid because this is going to be so variable based on your situation, but there can be some sticker shock, although. When you subtract what it costs to simply board a dog at a place like camp bow wow, and add in the services to make it not suck for your dog, this really starts to become one hell of a value. If you're like me and you don't have the time you initially thought you would have to do this stuff on your own, it moved from being a hell of a value to almost a steal.

The requirements - Another thing that put my mind at ease was the requirements to be in board and train. They are adamant about having a healthy dog before you started and you will be required to submit vaccinations and a current poop test. It a farm, other peoples animals are there at the same time, they want every dog to be safe and healthy.

Communication - Every day we got updates from the trainers and lots of videos of our dogs progress as he was going though learning his commands. The communication is very back and forth and all of the trainers were very responsive if i asked any questions. Over the course of our dogs training he started having an issue they believed may be medically related and they communicated it very early on. We coordinated a vet visit and while the ended up in more mystery than answer from the vet, i collaborated with trainers on an altered diet to test out what we thought was wrong. I cannot overstate how great the communication was.

The results - Look, if you think you're going to get back a robot dog that listens to every command as if the fate of the world rested on it, you probably need to reevaluate your expectations. They're still dogs that sometimes do what they want, but I will say that ours is absolutely 100% better. it's going to continue to take work on our part when they come home, but mine walks on my heel, doesn't pull the leash, sits, downs, recalls on command and tone, doesn't jump, isn't reactive to other dogs and humans... everything I needed from him he came back with strong core foundation. Have we had some slips? absolutely. They are used to walking all over you and training hard with someone else, you are going to have to follow through on what your duty is, but wow the change is immense.

Overall - I would 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone, and to be honest, I think board and train should be a pre-requisite to own a dog. Our dog is significantly more manageable, and significantly more family friendly. It would have taken me a year to do half of what they did in 6 weeks.

Drew was such a great trainer to work with! Paw and order as a whole was fast, friendly, and responsive and laid out all of the instruction for the program right from the start, which I really appreciated. We have a blind pup and Drew was able to adapt training methods to fit our needs and make us a lot more confident in our ability to be the best dog parents to our Domingo. Thank you Drew!

If I could give Paw and Order 100 stars, I would. Our dog Lucy has been a challenge since day one—full of energy, defiance, and reactivity. Despite trying multiple trainers, we struggled.

After hearing great things about Elissa from friends, we gave it one last shot as Lucy's behavior was worsening, including aggression. Elissa's mix of positive reinforcement and discipline helped us communicate better with Lucy. The transformation is nothing short of miraculous.

We conducted training at the law and order facility, where we introduced our dog to farm animals and other dogs, which boosted both her confidence and ours. Elissa also visited our home with her dogs, as that's where many challenges can arise. She provided guidance while ensuring we were the ones training our dog, since, ultimately, we need Lucy to respond to us.

If you had told me that our reactive and insecure dog would eventually play in the fields with other dogs, walk flawlessly on a leash, and remain calm when strangers came over, I would have thought you were nuts. Lucy is truly thriving, all thanks to Elissa (Paw and Order).

Shawn is masterful at understanding and modifying dog behavior as well as training their owners. His unique techniques helped our Great Dane mix, Tucker, become much better behaved, able to deal with high anxiety situations, and much happier.

I can’t recommend Lee Ann enough! She is incredibly knowledgeable, understanding, and patient. Her clear directions and ability to explain things made training with Berlin both effective and enjoyable. Even after our sessions ended, she continues to be a great resource. always quick to respond and willing to help with any questions or correct the things we need to work on. She truly cares about her clients and their dogs, and it shows in her dedication. If you’re looking for a trainer who is supportive, responsive, and genuinely invested in your dog’s progress, she’s the one!

So thankful for Drew and the Paw and Order team. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Drew. We recently welcomed our baby girl home and wanted to make sure our dog adjusted well to the big change. Not only did Drew help with the transition, but he also worked on some behavioral issues that will make life so much easier as our little one grows up alongside her furry best friend.

His patience, knowledge, and personalized approach made all the difference. We saw immediate improvements, and now we feel confident knowing our dog is set up for success in this new chapter of our lives. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs (and their humans!), Drew is the best. We’re so grateful!

We had such a great experience with Paw and Order! After meeting with Elissa and going through all of the things we wanted to work on with our new rescue dog, Raider, I knew I wanted her to train my dog. We signed Raider up for his stay and train and he was there just shy of 5 weeks.
His first day he barked at everything and everyone. He did this anytime he went anywhere with us, the pet store, the vet, down the street. If someone walked by the house he would bark and whine. He pulled on walks and just had no basic skills down, except sit and paw. He had NO confidence in new enviornments and very little confidence around strangers. We knew he was smart and would take to training, but we are a household of two working parents with young kids so while we were committed to training, our lack of time and skill was very evident! To have the team at Paw and Order kick-start Raider's training and give us the tools we need for a well-trained dog is invaluable.
The most important part is they do not sugar coat the job of traning is NOT over once your dog comes back to you. If you, as the owner, don't put in the work to maintain and build upon what your dog has learned, you will fail. We know we have lifetime support from Elissa, Grace and the rest of the team and they truly loved Raider like one of their own! While he was there he developed an allergy from his food leading to itchy paws and interdigital cysts and they took great care of him and even did a food transition, no problem.
Raider worked a lot with Grace and she was wonderful with him! She would even bring her young son to help. She took Raider on outings and by the time he was done he was happily sitting for pets and treats from workers at the pet store and staying in down even when people walked by. Now that he is home I see such a huge difference in his demeanor. We had guests over and while we did have to correct him a few times, he went to and stayed in his place and greeted them nicely (with just at tiny little boof.) He was friendly and so well-behaved.
Multiple people with dogs have walked by our house and he hasn't even blinked an eye. We had two pet fence installers, the garbage truck, lanscapers at my neighbor's house and NO BARKING. He previously would bark at my neighbor for just existing.
And I didn't even mention how much better he is on walks. He's actually fun to walk now and it's not a stressful situation anymore. I can't wait to take him out and about and work with him more. Putting him through the stay and train has given both him and us the confidence we needed to actually have success with his training. It was totally worth it and we would do it again if we even got another dog.

We have been with Paw and Order for several months now and love our trainer Ash! They absolutely stand by their word that they won't quit working with you and your dog if you don't. There is no behavior too big and we are carving out a well behaved GSD puppy because of their expertise! 10/10 would recommend!

Hello Cait, How are you? I enjoy what you share here on Facebook, but we're not friends yet. I don't normally write here in the comment section, but I think you deserve it. I was going through some Facebook pages when I came across your profile. To be honest, you seem like a pretty decent and interesting woman. I am looking for decent conversation, and I am not fortunate to have a lot of those on Facebook. This is my first time reaching out to someone. So it's not really every day I get to have a good conversation, and a lot of veterans suffer from mental breakdowns and PTSD due to what they face and experience without having someone to talk to. I hope my reaching out to you did not make you uncomfortable. I have tried to send you a friend request, but it's not going through. Do you mind trying it from your side? I would be happy to be friends with you. If you find this message embarrassing, please pardon my manners. Thank you, and God bless you.

I would highly recommend Shawn and Paw & Order Training SWFL! My 11 month old whippet, Snickers, was a wild child and I was having no luck teaching him even basic commands. After an in depth evaluation and several training sessions in my home, Shawn taught us BOTH the ways to accomplish acceptable behavior...and I do mean BOTH of us. It was as much training for ME as it was for Snickers and we have learned SO much!

Snickers now sits, stays, places, waits, walks well on a leash, doesn't jump on people, enjoys meeting other dogs, crates without hesitation and isn't QUITE as bad a thief as he was before...but is better about dropping what he's not supposed to have! :)

Everyone that knows him is amazed at his transformation and I am so pleased to be able to take him anywhere with me, including church, the office, stores, outdoor restaurants, softball games, the beach and so many other places.

He has become the mascot for my choir at church and our next goal is to get his Good Canine Citizen certification so he can become a therapy dog. I am SO proud of Snickers and we could never have done it without Shawn and Paw & Order SWFL! Thank you so much!

What an amazing experience! Lee Ann was amazing in her training efforts. Not only did she help us train the dogs, I think we got some training too! Her skills were great and she was patient with us leading us to be better dog parents! I can't speak highly enough related to our positive experience with Paw and Order and Lee Ann specifically.

Tia/Paw and Order Harmony have been great to work with. We initially booked with another Paw and Order location, but due to an accident experienced by that location’s trainer, we had to switch. The transition was smooth and easy. We have done a stay and train and in home training combo for our German Shepherd puppy (currently 6 months old). It’s been a terrific experience. We had almost daily photos of her progress which was important to us.

From the very beginning Tia has been extremely thorough and answers any questions or concerns we have. She explained each tool, how they are used and she made sure we knew how to operate them. It’s clear that Tia has a good understanding of the breed, successful training methodology and a sincere love for what she does.

Definitely recommend Tia and Paw and Order.

I enrolled my German Shepherd, Maverick, in the Intensive Obedience Group Class with trainer Jenn! The group was small enough to allow for lots of one on one time, but also really effective to train with other dogs around. This class made such a difference in my pets behavior! Jenn was absolutely amazing & super helpful! I plan on enrolling Maverick in other classes.

Our dog Lilly participated in the Full Stay & Train program, and she did so well! She came home so much better behaved and responds to commands well. She is a smart and energetic girl, and we could not have chosen a better team of professionals to help us refine her skills. They have a gorgeous facility to facilitate their training, and they were absolutely fantastic with her. They kept us updated throughout the whole process with photos and videos, and taught us how to manage and implement her new skills at home. They are all great resources and knowledgeable in all things dog behavior related! We highly recommend working with this team!

5 weeks ago we started training our 9 month old boxer. He had no manners and knew only basic commands (that he followed when he felt like it). Jenn told us week one that we would get our dogs to wait before eating and at the door before darting out. I laughed and truly didn’t think that would happen… well, he caught on super fast! Now, both of my dogs wait until I tell them to eat and wait at the door, too. For graduation he walked at Lowe’s, and actually stayed sitting while people walked past, even while pushing large carts! We still have work to do but I’m very happy with the progress we’ve made so far!

Thank you so much, Jenn!
