Recently switches to P Gagnon and couldn’t be more pleased. From the office staff to the sales rep and installation team - everybody has been fantastic. Thank you for setting a standard that’s well above the local competition!

The office staff is horrible. They have a hard time processing basic tasks and they don't keep their promise of discounting the bill the 1st 50 gallons if you run out. Because they lack the ability to perform basic office tasks they had my account listed as will call instead of auto fill. That was an office error. Then they whacked my cash app card for 2 deliveries 1 3months old and the one the day before when I ran out. I had a family reunion that day. 1. I tried to pay the old bill 3 times and they again can't process basic office tasks... never took the money. 2. Billed me for added fees month after month for a bill they didn't debit my card on file after being asked repeatedly by me. 3. Never put my account back on auto fill when I called and tried to pay my bill or when I had generated that older bill. Same reason of office staff lacks ability to perform basic tasks. 4. Billed me in full for the 200 gallons they delivered even though I had asked to have it filled. 50 gallons of that should have been free. Again same reason, office can't process basic office tasks. 5. The emergency driver that Sunday had to call his boss to get approval to deliver to me because they had a hold on my account. This contributed to the driver getting to me later and making me later for the reunion. Again. ... because the office staff lacks the ability to perform basic tasks. 6. The driver never gave me a bill because he told me he had to go old school and overide the system because my account was listed as on hold (and also not on autofill like it should have been and my credit scores over 700). I never got a bill till about a week later they were kind enough to email me one. 7. The bill stated 30 days net. I am not nor never was a c.o.d. customer but yet they whacked my card for $1,800.00 a day later. Without my permission to do so. 8. The office staff is rude amd very unprofessional. 9. The oil co. recently fired an office worker. 10. The office staff never replied to any of the multiple emails I sent demanding attention to this matter and some form of resolution. The only reply was a picture of my bill and nothing more. That coincidentally happened right after I told them I would be sending a copy of the issues they created to corporate headquarters because I doubt they let them know anything and no doubt wouldn't offer the info. 11. I will send corporate a copy of this. 12. I WILL NOT BE BURNING ANYMORE P Gagnon oil in my home! 13. This will be the complaint in my lawsuit. 14. They had a great employee that had accounts that would only deal with her. She would put account info right on the computer on their account. So that anyone accessing the accounts would see the info that was important and often time sensative. Instead of sticky notes that would sit in work ares collecting dust. In this country when you offer to pay a debt with legal tender and it is not accepted then the debt trying to be paid is considered paid i full! They had no consideration while doing a terrable job with zero professional courtesy to consider if charging almost $2k fraudulantly would cause harm to my financial account. No calls, no emails except 1 piece of paper a week later. Total lack of business basics and professional conduct with the office. The drivers were always good. I have no problems with them or their work ethics. That's what the one star is for.

Thoroughly professional services are delivered with the hometown touch. Furnace inspection and maintenance program takes the worries out of winter operations. Fuel deliveries are reliable.

The 2 techs who came to do the yearly service on the furnace, AC unit and gas fireplace were awesome!! (Can’t remember their names😔) Both were very professional and knowledgeable. Wonderful feeling knowing we’re all ready for winter!! Thank you for the great service.

I recently switched to P. Gagnon (from Downeast Energy) and am only sorry that I did not make the move earlier. Service is much better and pricing is way more competitive. No comparison between a well-run local company and a large out-of-state corporation where customer service is apparently no longer a priority

Such horrible customer service. Trying to charge me for propane usage from the previous homeowner.. I moved to South Berwick October 2nd and I received an invoice from them for an equipment charge of a propane tank that was disconnected and not In use. I called them they removed the charge and came to pick up the tank because propane use was eliminated from this property. And now here it is the first week of January and they're sending me another bill for $16 propane use from July. I called them to tell them that there was an error that I did not live here during that time and they could not comprehend the fact that I did not move here till October that there had to be some mistake somewhere. When I was trying to get it through the woman's thick skull that I did not live here at that time she started to get very rude and condescending. Eventually causing me to do the same. Long story short they fight with their customers even when they are in the wrong.

I started using P Gagnon about 7 years ago when I moved here with my first home. I had no big issues with that home, which was great. I used P Gagnon for the oil delivery, some upgrades and yearly maintenance and I was very happy with their service. I purchased another home about 4 years ago and continued using them as I’ve always had great service and trust them completely. My current home was only 8 years old and I thought everything would be good for a long while but I’ve had numerous problems unfortunately. Every time I’ve had a problem, I would call and they came out right away. I’ve had to call over the weekends and late at night and they always respond right away…. Every single person I’ve interacted with has been extremely nice and helpful. The office staff, the service people, the service manager and especially the salesman (Mike), working with Mike is wonderful and he always makes it a priority to respond and help with any questions that I might have. I could list everything and every positive experience that I’ve had but that would involve a much longer review…. The bottom line is that if you want a trustworthy, honest and reliable company, use P Gagnon! If you want to save a few cents and have unreliable service, use someone else. I won’t ever use anyone else but P Gagnon as they have proven themselves time and time again they truly care and are very reliable!!!

Debbie, who answers the phone, is horrible to talk to. She talks all over you, is very combative, and has a bad attitude. 4 separate relatives live in South Berwick and use P. Gagnon's for heating services and products for all of their homes. All 4 of us have had the worst experience with Debbie. Mark, you need to give her a job where she has no contact with the public or fire her. We are all ready to leave and go to Dead River because we've had it with her!

She is the one CSR I can watch and listen to from my desk and Deb does a great job. My standards for all of them are very high and I welcome and await your feedback

Even though all my equipment was bought and installed by PG they denied to service it because I fill my tank with another company. Their prices are waaaay over the market price. Before I mentioned that they were going to schedule the service after I said that they said that they didn’t have the man power. This company only wants to sell you their overpriced fuels.

The heating system in question was installed in 2019 for the home previous owner. The reason we declined to provide service is because we only do service work for our oil customers. A better explanation from our office person might have been not simply that we "don't have the manpower" but "we only do service work for our existing fuel customers and we are available only for them 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We don't have the manpower to assure that level of response if we try to take care of everyone else". This time of year and especially as it gets colder, taking care of our fuel customers is a challenge and obligation we take very seriously. Our customers are with us because they expect and value the level of service and guaranteed response we provide.Thats what P. Gagnon and Son is all about. Our customers

Purchased a generator for our home in Barrington and then began the search for a Propane company and decided on P. Gagnon & Son. We were excited to work with one company who could supply both Propane and Oil for a better discounted price. Upon selecting them, they arrived a few days later with 2 tanks and shortly thereafter they were filled with propane. There was a little mixup and before I knew it, I received a call from the owner and within a few minutes issue resolved...IMPRESSED. The P Gagnon crew were professional and experienced and worked well with the company providing the generator. There seem to be different issues that come up when work is being done on any home..it's important how it is handled because that instills trust..(Shelly Maher)

Sorry for the apparent mix up with your credit card payment. Not sure what happened, assuming it was on our end instead of maybe the card processor. Regardless, we will be sending along a check for $29.22 as a reimbursement for the missed discount and finance charge. Our folks rarely make mistakes but when they do we take responsibility for them. The CSR you spoke with will be receiving some coaching about handling and similar situations encountered going forward.
