HGVs AVOID Multiple bad experiences Brought a truck for mock test before full test. Done all repairs, sent for full test and they failed it on stuff they did not find on mock test. They said a different tester done it and found more problems but still charged me for the mock test. When sent back for a 2nd re-test they abandoned the test because the manager found other things that were not on either previous tests. Booked in the truck this time to be repaired by themselves. They took the booking and we brought the truck to them and then the workshop rang later that day and said they cannot carry out repairs on heavy goods trucks they only do services and the odd steering drag links. When asked why did they take the booking he said the people on reception don't know what they are doing. Had a different a truck for a mock test and they said it needed a tacho calibration, which I told them it didnt as analogues are 6 years not 2 years. Their testers could disagreed so we brought the truck to a different center and it passed 1st time. Failed a different truck for windscreen washers because the tester was using the wrong control switch. Charged one of my trucks a full re-test fee for a visual test which should have been €0 but would not give keys of truck back without payment. Save your money and go to a proper test center or a HGV garage that are actaully qualified to fix and test the vechiles.

Had a fault with brakes on van called it in to my employer on Monday morning, employer told me it was to go to Rathcoole Commercial on Thursday for servicing !! Clocked up almost 1400 kilometres by Wednesday and brake hub busted and callipers jammed. Technician from Rathcoole put the blame on me driving it hard and reckless taking the employer story and laying all onus on me expecting me to pay for damage. Technician showed me pictures on his phone and would not listen to my side of the story.

Very professional and helpful. Took van in for CVRT and everything handled very well. The sidelight fuse had failed just before the test, they fixed it for nothing and passed the van. Have returned each year and they are still excellent.

I would highly recommend them . Super professional and helpful.

I was a customer for over 7 years. They overcharged me, continued to overcharge me and they wouldn't apologise or give me my money back.
