Delicious and filling lunch special! Would highly recommend.

Nice shop with friendly workers. The food isn’t very memorable, though, compared to all the Thai places in the city. I liked the shrimp donuts.

For drinks we had the refreshing Color Changing Lemonade (cocktail) and the sweet Floating Market cocktail. Their food is flavorful, authentic and delicious. We had the Duck Crepes and Larb Wings for appetizers. Both went above and beyond in flavor. For main course we had the Crying Tiger and Colassal Crab Fried Rice. Superb! There was crab meat in each bite. The Coconut Crustard was so good.

Had dinner at Rua Thai in Brooklyn, and it was a really enjoyable experience. The cozy vibe made it feel super inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. The prawn noodles were absolutely delicious--so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The duck crepe was another standout, rich and packed with flavor. The larp fries were incredible. I loved the seasoning on it. The branzino was delicious. We love fried fish. The thai iced tea was super tasty as well. I do wish they had mango sticky rice, though--it would've been the perfect way to wrap up the meal. Service was fine, but it seemed like just one person was handling everything. Despite that, I'd definitely go back for the great food and ambiance!

I’d first like to start off with how beautiful and cozy the ambiance is! I went at a time that was less busy, which allowed me and my boyfriend to eat in a space that was peaceful and cozy! Our server was a sweetheart, very kind and made sure we received everything and were doing fine overall. The friend wings was so so flavorful and crispy! My boyfriend ate the whole thing and I only had one! 😂 The fried cheese wontons were very delicious, crispy and packed with enough filling! The veggie stir fry with chicken was delicious, though it could have been a tad bit more seasoned. Overall still a delicious dish The ribeye with blue jasmine rice was incredible! And the sauce paired with it was amazing! Lastly, the coconut custard dessert was delicious! I would definitely come back! This is amazing Thai food. The atmosphere is so calming and the food never disappoints. We tried three appetizers (crab rangoon, wings, and fries) the papaya salad, clay pot rice and pad see yu. We enjoyed every single dish and the mocktail had quality fruit in it. Happy this is close to home.

I love the drunken noodle which has a slightly hint of tomato flavor. The duck crepe was also very good with crispy duck and a delicious crepe skin. Ambiance is elegant.

We had such a delightful experience here! The shrimp donuts are an absolute must-try! They're perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle, and paired beautifully with the sweet and tangy chili sauce. The duck crepes were equally delicious. The crepes were light and airy, and the smoky-sweet flavor profile was so unique and satisfying. We loved the drinks too! The butterfly pea soda was incredibly refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. The color-changing lemonade was a magical touch--watching the colors change added so much fun to the experience! The steak was cooked to perfection, with a sauce that delivered a beautiful blend of umami and a subtle hint of spice. The mama tom yum dish was a standout! Imagine a tom yum noodle soup transformed into a stir-fry--it absorbed all the bold, spicy, and tangy flavors of the soup. The dish had just the right amount of spice, and the river prawns, which looked like mini lobsters, added a special touch. To finish, the mango sticky rice was stunningly presented and absolutely delicious. The mangoes were incredibly juicy and sweet--truly the perfect ending to our meal. The portion sizes were generous, and we left feeling completely satisfied. We visited on Christmas Eve, and the cozy ambiance and festive playlist made it feel so homely. This is definitely a great spot for a date night, especially if you want to enjoy amazing food while having a good conversation. Lastly, a special shoutout to our server, who was so attentive and made sure our water glasses were always full. Highly recommended!

Total false advertising. What I thought I was ordering on Grubhub vs what I got. The food is pathetic and sad. I haven’t had this gross of food in a long time. The owners should be embarrassed. Not remotely worth it.

The food and drinks were amazing. I suggest the chicken and shrimp dumpling for an appetizer if you like curr.

Rua Thai lives up to its reputation—delicious, filling, and full of authentic Thai flavors. Every bite felt like a journey into the heart of Thai culture. This is a good Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and intimate, with cute decor. The menu is very creative and modern. The Shrimp Donut is a highlight, simply delicious. It's a good option for Thai food in Brooklyn.

Don’t come to RUA Thai and NOT order the chicken and shrimp curry dumplings and shrimp donuts as appetizers! I also really loved the mama tom yum grilled river prawns, just make sure you squeeze lime all over the noodles to really enhance the flavors! The fried chicken and roti was also good. The chicken looked dry but was actually tender and the roti was unlike any roti I’ve ever had before, it had a slight sweet/nutty flavor that I wasn’t expecting but enjoyed and it was very soft. Incredible food, insane flavours and such a calm, peaceful atmosphere! We came here for a pre-theatre meal, the food arrived in good time, the staff was really friendly and the place is spotless. Thank you so much for a really enjoyable experience!

Rua Thai might just be the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Some dishes were absolute standouts, while a couple fell a bit short—but overall, it was a meal to remember. The shrimp donut was dangerously addictive—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The Penang curry was rich and sweet, with such a perfect balance of flavors it felt almost drinkable, like a warm, comforting broth. The mango sticky rice stole the show. The rice had a delicate, almost intoxicating flavor and the perfect soft texture, while the mango was perfectly ripe and sweet. Together, they created a dessert that felt truly special. The rice noodles, however, didn’t quite hit the mark. The texture leaned a little mushy, and the flavor lacked the smoky, distinct quality I wanted. The steak was well-prepared but under-seasoned, leaving it a bit flat compared to the other dishes.

I loved all the soothing songs they were playing and definitely the food was amazing! I been to Thailand and I know how Thai food tastes I got the authentic taste of Thailand in that restaurant. They have halal chicken options so plus point for all the halal girlies!! One appetizer called ‘larb gai wrap’ the taste still sticks in my mouth 🤤!!
