I would like to warn all customers of the unethical, dishonest and bullying behavior of safeguard roofing company. I had a contract with safeguard to have my roof replaced using hot mopping. They failed to obtain the town permit, because they refused to hire an engineer to validate the process, as requested by the town. Moreover, they have lied to me and informed me that the town does not accept hot mopping. The town had denied repeatedly and adamantly this false claim. Instead of honoring the signed contract, Safeguard chose to hold my deposit as a barging chip, in order to force me to accept another less rigid methodology to have the roof replaced.
Warning warning warning to all safeguard customers and potential customers. All Safeguard contracts has a statement that give the right to safeguard to cancel, alter and/or change the contract at Safeguard total discretion, without any legal consequences or obligation on Safeguard part. I urge all to read the fine prints very carefully before the signing of any contract.
I have to no choice but to file a small court claim to get my deposited back, RH: North Branch CityCiv, Sc, Evictions Case Number 50-2024-SC-013990-XXXA-NB

Dear Mr Gaballa,
Here at Safeguard Roofing we take pride in our transparent, ethical approach and our commitment to upholding industry standards. We are disappointed to read your claims, as they do not accurately reflect our conduct or the steps we have taken to meet the requirements for your project.
To clarify, the issues you’ve raised regarding the hot mop system which is mandated by the Town of Jupiter's specific building codes for properties located near the water, which require additional engineering approval. When we submitted your re-roofing permit, the Town requested verification that the hot mop method met elevated code standards due to your property’s location. We consulted an engineer for this purpose, but they were unable to approve the hot mop process for your roof given the site conditions and code requirements.
At Safeguard Roofing, we strictly follow the Florida Building Code (FBC) and municipal regulations. As a certified roofing contractor, we cannot alter these codes to fit a specific request, nor can anyone bypass these City requirements. The City's permit standards and approvals are mandatory, and are mandated safety measures. The same permit standards and approvals will be required by the Town, with no way around these mandated safety measures.
Allow me to share a clear timeline of events to provide transparency on our process:
April 15, 2024:
We received your signed contract.
May 30, 2024:
Following HOA approval, we ordered your requested tiles.
June 17, 2024:
Your re-roofing permit was submitted to the Town, per our standard process.
July 8, 2024:
We informed you of the Town’s requirement for additional engineering verification. Our hired engineer, however, determined that a hot mop system would not meet the necessary standards.
July 26, 2024:
We finalized the approved permit with the Polyglass Polystick System as per code, and all materials were ready to proceed.
During our discussions, we presented you with options that met both safety and Town requirements, including honoring the original price for the Polyglass Polystick System and/or offering a premium commercial-grade hot mop method as an alternative, but at a different price, which you found unfavorable.
Unfortunately, after we obtained the necessary permits and were ready to begin, you chose to cancel the project. As per Florida law and your signed contract, cancellations can only be made within three business days of signing, and your decision to cancel came well after this period. Please note that even if alternative methods were considered, the same city requirements would still apply.
Our goal is to ensure a successful, code-compliant roofing project for every client. We hope this explanation clarifies our actions, which were always in line with both ethical practices and Florida’s building regulations. If you would like to discuss further, we are here to address any remaining concerns.
Thank you,
Safeguard Roofing
