Our puppy, Scarlett, arrived came home two weeks ago and has been an angel every moment. I’ve had a Cavalier previously, but I was still incredibly impressed by how calm, sweet, adaptable, and quick to learn she is. Although she arrived to us at the young age of 9 weeks, it was obvious that Jacob had already worked with her on potty and crate training, as well as socialization. Before arriving to our home and ever since, I’ve had many questions and Jacob is always quick to answer them. It’s been a truly wonderful experience.

Also patient with all our questions and concerns. We would definitely recommend Jacob. Olive has the best disposition. We feel like we were truly blessed finding this little fur angel. I found the blog to be particularly helpful as well. I have continued to refer back to it while we train our new little guy. He adjusted quickly without hesitation to our children and family. I got my puppy Sherlock but in November of 2023 and he is great and wonderful. I love him so much. Jacob was amazing and very nice and they transported Sherlock all the way to Massachusetts for me. They are amazing.

Adopting my sweet girl from Shady Grove Acres is one of the best decisions of my life. Jacob came recommended to me from a friend, and my experience exceeded my expectations. The facility is very clean and you can tell Jacob really cares about the wellbeing of the puppies, and creating a safe and loving environment. I even got a hole in my tire on my way up to see my pup for the first time, and Jacob and his son patched it up for me so I could safely travel back home to Columbus. A few weeks ago I had a dream about a girl King Charles Cavalier puppy, and I just could not get the puppy out of my head. A few days later my friend was randomly talking about his dog who he adopted from Shady Grove Acres. I got on the website, but I didn’t see the particular dog I saw in my dream. I ended up emailing Jacob asking if the puppies listed on the website was current. He responded yes, but he had a female that wasn’t listed yet. I asked him to send me a photo, and lo and behold it was the EXACT dog from my dream. I drove up the next day to meet her and the rest is history. I am so in love and she is the absolute best addition to our family.

Puppy Broker? You decide So, is it Shady Grove Acres in Bethesda, MD 20816? or is Shady Grove in Charm, Ohio, or Shady Grove Cavaliers, Millersburg, OH, or SHADY ACRES KENNELS in Abbeville, GA? All with the same puppies for sale, all with "Jacob" as the contact, and all with the same email address. It looks like this may be a puppy mill puppy broker and not the "independent family-owned breeder" they claim to be. **They did make Ohio's "High Volume Dog Breeder" list, updated Feb. 26th, 2024" CB0000EB Shady Grove Acres LLC |Jacob Yoder |(M) 330-275-2434 |4318 Township Road 369 Millersburg, OH 44654 |HOLMES" But I don't see that accomplishment anywhere in any of their ads. Just so I am clear, Ohio's legal definition is "High volume breeder means an establishment that keeps, houses, and maintains six or more breeding dogs and does at least one of the following: In return for a fee or other consideration, sells five or more adult dogs or puppies in any calendar year to dog brokers or pet stores; In return for a fee or other consideration, sells forty or more puppies in any calendar year to the public; or Keeps, houses, and maintains, at any given time in a calendar year, more than forty puppies that are under four months of age, that have been bred on the premises of the establishment, and that have been primarily kept, housed, and maintained from birth on the premises of the establishment. So, with several listings in different states and different backstories for each, it seems that Shady may be a bit shady in their advertising. And this is a large-scale for-profit puppy mill and not that caring hobby breeder they purport to be.

Lettie is extremely friendly and clearly was raised in a setting with varying enrichment. She is not scared of noises, eats regularly, and loves to snuggle. Jacob was great to work with and very communicative and easy to work with. Once we had picked out a puppy, he sent us weekly pictures of her, super fun to watch her grow over the first few weeks. He sent us with some of the food she had been eating, to help keep her tummy happy with all of the changes happening in her life. He also already had her microchipped. Being able to set that up as soon as we got her was a great peace of mind for us! If you are looking for a happy and healthy puppy, I highly recommend Shady Grove Cavaliers!

I received my Cavalier puppies from Shady Grove 3 weeks ago, and they are absolutely wonderful! Jacob was incredibly patient and thorough in answering all of my questions—I had quite a few. We picked up our blue merle Frenchie from Jacob this week and are over-the-moon in love with our new baby, Frank the Tank. I had not been in the Charm OH area but was in awe of the beautiful environment, what a wonderful place to be a puppy! The Shady Grove breeding facility was very clean, organized, and professional. We recieved all the info needed and more from Jacob and were very comfortable with our new responsibility. I would highly recommend Shady Grove if you are looking for a Frenchie pup, even if you have to wait for a litter. WELL worth it.

Last May I found the most perfect tri color cavalier king charles spaniel from Shady Gr I ve Cavaliers. Jacob was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions.Since we lived 8 hours away, Jacob suggested a pet travel delivery service who drove my little Greta to us. My puppy was 10 weeks old and 95% potty trained. She is the sweetest girl and loves her cavie brother and older sister. I highly recommend this breeder and have referred them to other families.
