Had Joe take a look at my Mac laptop that had been giving me issues for some time. He found the issue right away and was able to update the system with ease. He also gave me some recommendations moving forward. He is knowledgeable and the communication was great! I will contact him with any computer problems in the future.

I reached out to Joe to assist with recommendations for a new laptop and once purchased, to move all the files from old to new. He was willing to do that, but after getting more info on my current laptop, he determined that my laptop was actually not in need of replacement but instead a new hard drive and his magic, (that I don't understand 😉), was actually a perfect fix! I also had a couple of tablets that he was able to get cleaned up and working! Joe not only saved me hundreds of dollars by fixing as opposed to replacing my laptop, he was so easy to work with and super friendly!! I told my Mom about him and she has since taken multiple laptops and tablets to him to see if he can get them to work. I would not hesitate to recommend Joe at Slater Computer Repair to any of my friends and family...thanks Joe!!

Had Joe work on doing hard drive replacement on two of my computers, as well as add memory to both and help us sort out some operational issues. He is straight forward, professional, timely, and not expensive. Is always prompt with communications and got all my work done quickly. Will be using him again in the future.

Joe at Slater Computer Repair was fantastic. Cleared my Mac of viruses, deleted unused programs for more memory, updated virus software and, most importantly, recoverd all my files that were deleted from a hack of a back up disc. Joe was excellent to work with. I emailed him about the blue screen errors I was dealing with and he immediately reached out with several options I could try to resolve the problems on my own. The fact he first tried to help fix the issue without having to bring my PC to him meant a lot. I ended up having to bring the PC in anyway as we suspected that the problems were hardware related. Joe was awesome to work with in this capacity as well. As with most hardware issues, it took some trial and error to finally nail it down to what piece of hardware was causing the problem. At first it appeared to be a faulty motherboard but ultimately ended up being a bad CPU. Joe handled all the ordering of parts and never asked me to pay for anything up front. Even though I had to bring the PC in a few times, he only charged me the price difference in parts. Joe is knowledgeable, friendly, straightforward, and was always keeping me informed every step of the way. I had a great experience working with him and would highly recommend his services if you’re having issues with your PC.

I found Joe’s service based off of reviews and they are accurate! Joe is quick with above and beyond repairs, not just guessing at what is wrong with your computers. He was thorough and very communicative at every step. My Surface Pro could not be revived, but he took the time to talk through options and even offer to find me a replacement. Although I declined the offer, Joe saved all of the files and data to my desktop (which he installed a new drive for a like new computer) - I lost nothing and I have to say that is a first for me with dead electronics. I will continue to use Slater Computer Repair for all computer needs.

He is very knowledgeable and quick to work on the solution. I was at a loss of my new gaming computer not installing Windows correctly and internet drivers not working properly. Overnight, he fixed it and had it ready by the afternoon. Very casual and cheaper than some of the bigger names in the Des Moines metro. I will definitely use his services again if I ever need to.

Joe was great, highly recommend!

Joe did an excellent job fixing my CPU fan. He found the issue quickly, one prong was bad, got a splitter put in and I was back to using my computer. Parts and labor were under $40. I would definitely go back to Joe if I ever had a computer issue!
