Dear Joey, We appreciate your attempt to share your thoughts, misguided as they may be. It is essential for us to acknowledge all feedback, regardless of its validity or the extent to which it reflects the reality of the situation. It appears that your recollection of events is, to put it mildly, somewhat imaginative. Our team, consisting of seasoned experts with decades of product development expertise, takes its responsibility to ensure child safety exceptionally seriously. It is no mere coincidence that we emphatically advised against the potentially hazardous design you initially proposed, which included beads that posed a choking hazard to children, and heavily weighted blankets that we categorically refuse to manufacture to your requested specification due to the high risk of suffocation. Despite your clear agreement initially to our proposed compromise in design (to improve children's safety, minimising risk), you decided to try and alter the scope of the project at a later stage, opting for the very dangerous beads and weighted blanket design we had explicitly warned against. Scope cannot be changed many months through a project, and this was initially acknowledged & all of our terms signed off that state your scope may not bounce around flippantly. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that misunderstandings can arise, especially when one party chooses to disregard crucial documentation, such as the scope of work and our "Rules of Engagement" booklet—documents which you, yourself, had the responsibility to read and comprehend before then signing off multiple times throughout the collaboration. In conclusion, we do implore you to reflect upon your approach to professional relationships and consider the consequences of your actions on the reputations of others. While we stand firm in our commitment to providing unparalleled expertise and ensuring the safety of the products we develop, we cannot rectify the choices you have made.
