I was able to purchase my dream vehicle in June of 2021. I love my car, Subaru Ascent, but the amount of problems that have come up is shocking. I never expected that with a Subaru. I am 100 miles away from my warranty being up and the issues continue. What made it manageable was the dealership would give me a loaner vehicle. With three kids and different times of school drop off and picks ups this was workable. I show up today and am told they no longer do that. It's a Friday morning and finding a rental is near impossible. The issues with the breaks and struts have been none stop with my vehicle being in the shop for over a month at a time. Again what made it possible for me to deal with that was being covered with a vehicle. So here I sit Friday morning stranded with my car back in the shop, it was there last week too for two weeks. I have contacted a lemon law lawyer and will see if with all these issues if the vehicle will qualify. I'm sad to have what was supposed to be a wonderful experience completely ruined.

Go to the Sierra Madre Subaru instead. Very courteous and knowledgeable service personnel.

Buyer beware: these people are shady.
Went in just to test drive a Crosstrek. When I got back from the drive I was approached by a sales rep who insisted we appraise my 2017 Honda Fit for the trade in value. I had no intention of buying on this day but I had some time so I said why not? I watched from inside the showroom as this sales rep named Olivia went outside with someone else to "appraise" my vehicle. They walked around the car, opened the doors, then looked under the hood. She comes back in and says with a straight face, "Are you aware your transmission is bad?" Just hilarious. At this point I knew I would not be doing any business at this dealership because of this flat out lie. She then gave me the lowball offer of $3,000 for the trade in followed by some crap about clear coat paint protection for $695 which "every dealership in the city is going to charge you for this" and all sorts of other warranties nobody needs. When we arrived at the total price I politely told her I would think about it and you'll hear from me. That's when she got in close and lowered her voice as if she was trying to fill me in on some insider info. "These aren't the final numbers. We can bring these numbers down." And bla bla bla. The whole thing was very slimy.
The happy ending: I took my car to Carmax the following day and they bought my Honda for more than double the amount these people in Glendale wanted to give me. I then went to Subaru Pacific and purchased my Crosstrek without any of the nonsense I experienced at Subaru of Glendale. You've been warned.

Bought two used Foresters within a week, I bought mine then my friend. My transaction was overall good, except that the finance manager added the extra maintenance warranty to the bill without asking, if I wanted it and made it seem like it was part of the package. I had to tell him twice to remove it. My friends transaction that same week was smoother, she was asked if she wanted the warranty, she said no, and that was it.
I would have given it a better rating, but both Foresters showed on the window sticker and website that they came with all weather liners, but since they were "used" because they were the loaners to the customers they had removed the all weather liners and after asking for them, we were given the cold shoulder by my sales rep and manager.
My friends sales person, Sargon Gewargis did not give us the cold shoulder after the purchase, after her purchase for any question or concerns, he went above and beyond, if you can, I would recommend you ask for Sargon to be your point of contact or sales person. I cant stop thinking about how great his customer service was even after the vehicle purchase. Wish he would have sold my Forester, but glad my friend got him.

Leased a car here from Nicholas and cannot speak more highly of him and his customer service. Years later, he is someone i can turn to when I have questions about car buying/ leasing. 100% would come back and lead or buy from him.

I tried to resolve the issue before leaving this review but it's clear that they don't care. I was searching for a 2025 forester on true car and Glendale Subaru had the best deal on what I was looking for.. a 2025 forester limited for less than 32k, I scheduled and appointment to go get it the following day, the following day came and I received a phone call from a lady (sales) can't remember her name and I told her I was ready to make the purchase but she said she needed to check on The price and that she would call me back and when she did call back (45 minutes later) she said the car was 40k and that supposedly a glitch had cause the price not being accurate I then asked her that I needed the name of the general
Manager there and she refused to give it to me, searching online I found the name of the general manager Jobe Atashi and Lane Wallace I left both of them a message explaining my concern but as of yet they haven't responded to my request. I just wanted them to be responsible for their advertising that appears to be misleading and false just to lure you in. Here is the true car offer obtained on September 29th

The service department will lie to your face, even if the Official Subaru of North America says otherwise. I wasted too much time here. Never again.
Also, the ‘master tech mechanic’ here is extremely rude

The people are nice but the organization as a whole needs to have better communication between its own departments and with customers. It’s not good lol. Read thru the reviews and clearly I’m not the only one with issues.

DONT GO HERE FOR SERVICE ON YOUR SUBARU.
I can't say anything about their sales department, but their service department is TERRIBLE. I worked with a service rep named Ross. I had a few things wrong with my car such as windows not rolling down and the key not pulling out of the ignition- things that I've dealt with on other cars that were quick fixes. From the start he wasn't very communicative, but I didn't have an issue with that from the start. What I do have an issue with is how long the wait is even WITH an appointment. After 5 hours of waiting (30 min before the "promised" vehicle return time) I get a text from ross including a laundry list of costs for the vehicle that totals to over $1000 and asks me to respond with a yes or no to doing this work. With this text I can only assume they haven't even started on the work yet after 5 hours.
Of course I go up to the desk to ask for clarification. I end up deciding I don't want everything, just an oil change and brake light fix (I'll just leave my broken windows up). And he is extremely rude and careless. He doesn't care to explain the multiple pages with of the receipt so I can know what is being charged. Luckily I didn't just take their word for it and pay it because they were charging me for a headlight they didn't replace!! I asked the front desk to help me understand which costs are being charged, but that's not their job so POOR ross had to come back over to do HIS job. When he realized they charged me for the headlight there was no apology. When I expressed my frustration he responded with "I'll just stand here while you make your point". I need to have trust in the people who are servicing my car. Good thing I deciphered the lengthy receipt or I would have been out $50 for nothing.
On the bright side, I think the mechanics did do the quick fixes I anticipated on the windows and the key not pulling out of the ignition because they are fixed now (yay!!). I just would've appreciated the communication that they're fixed- NOT a $580 charge for a "window regulator" and (another?) $580 charge for a "shifter plate" with no explanation even in person.
Also side note: why is a SUBARU dealership out of SUBARU headlights and you guys don't even know when they'll get back in??
Will never be going back and you shouldn't either.

Great experience! Would highly recommend I was able to speak to chris G via their online portal right away and begin our car selection. Chris reached out and gave me all of the information I needed. I got to the dealership at a later time than expected and was still able to drive my new Subaru that day. The process was simple. Samantha followed up two weeks later and explained any additional questions we had. Best dealership experience in SoCal, back for my second car and this is by far the best experience I have had yet again.

Their sales team was great but their service department is horrible. I bought my first Subaru outback here and there was no problem during the process. The big problem started after the free service warranty and maintenance ended. Last 2020 there was a recall for a defective catalytic converter and O2 sensor. I really don't want to bring my car if not for this recall. So I have no choice but to bring my car. I was told that it would take time to replace the defective parts from the recall and I have to leave my car overnight. When I picked up my car the next day, it was around 1pm and the summer heat was terrible so I turned on the AC. My wife and I was surprised because there was no cold air coming out from the vents. We never had a problem with the AC the day we brought the car, my wife was even wearing a sweater because she said it was very cold. When we got home full of sweat, I opened the hood and I noticed that the AC valve where you put freon and the area around it was soaked with oil. I immediately called their service department but I was told that they didn't touch my AC and I would need to pay for the freon and other problems that they might find. I know that this will be costly. Being a diy guy, I just bought a freon and recharged my AC. For about $45 my AC was cold again. There are other problems that I discovered. Do yourself a favor, after the free 2 year service maintenance, don't ever bring your car to Subaru Glendale service department because they will make a different problem to make money.

I gave a 5 star because of Ernesto, super wholesome sales and gave me a fair price for my new Forester. Keep in mind Subaru’s are still very low on stock so grab one if you can find them on the lot!

I recently purchased a 2025 Subaru Forester from Subaru of Glendale, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Chris G, who assisted us, was exceptional. His patience, knowledge, and kindness made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Unlike other dealerships, Chris did not pressure us into making a decision, which was a refreshing change.
The outstanding customer service didn’t stop with Chris. The manager, Lane, and the gentleman in finance also contributed to a seamless experience. This is for the service department. They were condescending to my wife who actually knows how to service cars, they failed to do an oil change and blamed my wife, once they put back on someone else's tire and blamed my wife when she complained it was driving weird, they either lied or did a poor job in replacing the short block after identifying an oil consumption issue, and there's more. We finally had enough and went to Subaru Pacific when it opened up. They took care of us, dealt with Subaru themselves, and fixed everything (including replacing the short block that had supposedly already been replaced). We're still getting serviced at Pacific. We went to Glendale because of the convenient location but we'll never go back unless they've had new management since then. I'm not sure why Google took down my previous review.
