I booked this experience for my daughter Emily - a treat to get away from city life and enjoy 1-1 surfing tuition. Absolutely amazing 🤩 she completely loved it and the skill and dedication of the surf 🏄♀️ instructor was amazing - we willBe back - thanks guys

Wonderful surf lesson
Absolutely excellent from start to finish . Billy and the staff were really helpful sorting kit etc . Wonderful in the water my 2 boys hadn’t surfed before and they found the whole experience so enjoyable . Billy was patient and very helpful through . 5 star 🌟 review from us !!!

We have been coming to Gwithian Surf Academy for years. The guys are always friendly and happy to help. They make sure that everyone has the best experience and enjoy themselves. Equipment is always top notch too. Billy has now taught four of the family to surf over the years!

My instructor Ollie made me feel very confident about going into the sea, something that I had previously felt anxious about. He made it super clear what I should be trying to achieve and offered lots of feedback for me to guide me forwards.
The facilities and the equipment were clean and well looked after. The staff in the reception area were welcoming and friendly.
All in all a great experience

As a total beginner and in my senior years (50), I was a little nervous. But, Billy our instructor was patient and encouraging. He even got me standing(ISH). I'm totally hooked and will be continuing to practice back home at The Witterings. Thank you for a awesome experience. 🥰🙏🤙

We enjoyed our first surf lesson today with instructor Billy, he was amazing with my son who is neurodivergent. I'd anticipated he wouldn't be in the water very long but he enjoyed the entirety of the lesson due to Billy's kind patient and caring approach. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the day and the beach was beautiful. A new annual activity for us while on holiday. Thank you.

Hello Tyson, and our great teachers: Scott, Ian, Cosmo, Billy and Joe from britains greatest surfschool.
We are still pumped by our awesome surf vacation this summer. We now own a used surfboard and are going to the north sea in Oktober to continue what we started at your lovely Gwithian Beach. We definitely want to come back! Landlocked in Bremen we will probably also have to start windsurfing in the meantime. Looking forward to seeing you again. Only the best for now

Had an amazing time at Gwithian Surf Academy! The instructors were super friendly and really knew their stuff. As someone quite new to surfing, I appreciated how patient they were and how they made sure everyone in the group was comfortable. The beach is gorgeous, and the waves were perfect for learning. The gear was in great condition too. If you’re thinking about giving surfing a try or want to improve, I can’t recommend these guys enough. Definitely a five-star experience!

I had a very positive experience at GAS. I'm not a complete beginner and wanted some improvement classes, and the instructors (Max, Cosmo, Billy and Ian) were very willing to provide this and make sure that I was looked after despite the range of abilities in the classes. Along with Tyson they were friendly, welcoming and accommodating and I was impressed by their knowledge, professionalism, advice and patience. I managed to break a board (sorry again guys) and they were great about it. Many thanks all for an excellent week and hope to see you again!

We recently took a beginners surfing lesson with Gwithian Academy, and it was a fantastic experience! The instructors were incredibly patient, friendly, and skilled at making us feel at ease in the water. They provided clear, step-by-step guidance that made it easy for us to catch our first waves.
The beach at Gwithian was the perfect spot for learning, with its gentle waves and beautiful surroundings. The lesson was well-paced, giving us plenty of time to practice and build confidence. By the end, we were all standing up and riding the waves!
We highly recommend Gwithian Academy for anyone looking to start surfing in Cornwall. It was a fun, supportive, and thoroughly enjoyable experience that left us eager to get back on the board!

Thank you to Max for the surf lesson for a 40 year old dad and my 11 year old daughter. Really good encouraging positive attitude and tips on technique and made it fun for us. Both standing on the board and turning a bit was a real suprise in our lesson. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
