I visited Tasty Bitz for the first time with my family and had a terrible experience. I was browsing the shelves and took a photo of rice prices to compare them with other stores, which I believe is my right as a customer. However, the young man at the counter spoke to me very rudely, accusing me of sharing the photo elsewhere. Despite my explanation that it was for personal comparison, he continued to berate me in front of my son.
To make things worse, after I made my payment and left, I noticed that one bundle of curry leaves I had selected was removed without any explanation. If it was out of stock, this should have been communicated honestly.
This kind of customer service is unacceptable. The staff was disrespectful and unprofessional, and I will never visit this store again. If you value good customer service, I suggest avoiding this place.
This review highlights the issue clearly and directly, while discouraging potential customers from visiting.
I recently tried the dosa batter from Tastibitz, and it’s amazing! It’s freshly made, it is homemade, and you can really taste the difference. The dosas come out crispy and delicious every time. I also love that it’s made by the owner. supporting local businesses like this feels great. The packaging is neat and easy to store, making it super convenient. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic South Indian flavors!

Tasti Bitz is Invercargill’s best hidden gem! If you want authentic Indian street food along with great shopping for all your Indian & sub-continent cooking needs, this is the place. I also love the staff, Vrund, Denny & Dhara, so friendly & welcoming & Dhara makes the most delicious masala dosa & thali you’ll have outside India 🙏🏽
Visited Tasti Bitz, to buy some sweets for Sankranti, and I was impressed! Their range of snacks is fantastic – so many options to choose from, and everything was fresh and authentic. Specially their fresh sweets. The quality and taste reminded me of home, making it perfect for celebrating the occasion.
I had a very bad experience with this shop!! I bought Kayam Churna, which was expired on 3rd March 2024 and I bought it four days ago. This is beyond being unacceptable that they are selling expired products. Seriously, I urge people not to come to this shop; you will get sick from their expired items. Terrible customer service and obviously no attention to what they're selling. Avoid this place at all
