Business Stay March 2021 Fantastic accommodation in a great setting. Warm and friendly environment. The owners Anne Jan and Siebette were fantastic hosts where nothing was too much trouble. Covid 19 compliant for our business use with great food and with the added bonus of the Whisky Lounge! Would thoroughly recommend!

First class hospitality Out of the blue treat at this fantastically themed B & B. Our first stay but this will not be our last Wonderful hospitality with kind and attentive service from Siebette and AJ at their lovely and fascinating whisky B & B. Ideally located on the outskirts of Dufftown this whisky paradise is an absolute must for anyone who has the slightest interest in the local produce. There is a collection of 200+ whiskies from everywhere and all at sensible prices for those wishing to try an ad hoc dram or enjoy one of Siebette and AJ's very informative 'pairings' tastings, which we considered a must ! 100% COVID compliant - procedures in place to ensure both hosts and guests are safe House is impeccably clean. Bedrooms are quiet, warm and spacey. Fabulous supper expertly prepared by Siebette - absolutely no complaints !!! Highly recommended - will be back for sure. Thank you

Weekend Break at a Whisky Lover's Dream Fantastically warm welcome from the Owners, beautiful property, superb room and amazing food. Couldn't fault the weekend in any way and the Whisky Room has to be seen to be believed - over 250 Malt's to try - a true aficionado's dream complete with tasting notes and great advice of which to try if you are overwhelmed by the choice as we were. Cannot wait to return and highly recommend if you are staying in the area.

September Whisky trip A wonderful short break at The Gables Whisky B&B. Very friendly hosts who looked after us, from the first contact pre-booking to our last morning. In the run up to my stay the hosts were very helpful with local recommendations. The food was lovely home cooked with a nice selection on offer. Now the whisky lounge is unbelievable, a massive range of whiskies with very good prices and great knowledge of the whiskies by the hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and the whisky pairings were set up COVID securely and very enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying and had no concerns during my stay. I am already looking for when I can return.

A Place to feel like coming Home From the very first moment we felt very well! Siebette and Anne Jan cordially received us welcome, they spoiled us with their culinary art and gave us evenings with unforgettable whisky tastings. There were so many positive impressions full of inspiration that made the time fly by. When we continued our journey, we did not just leave a very good and comfortable B&B - but we left a home and said Good Bye to friends. We are already looking forward to seeing you again! Traumhafter Urlaub / Wonderful Stay Wundervolles B&B in traumhafter, ruhiger Lage. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch die optionalen Abendessen sind absolut empfehlenswert. Die Auswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen und alles wurde mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Ausblick aus dem Esszimmer ist absolut traumhaft! Direkt in der Speyside gelegen, lassen sich von hier aus jede Menge Destillen erkunden. Falls man hier ein Tasting machen möchte, wird auch ein Fahrdienst von den Gastgebern angeboten. Aber auch alte Schlösser, Ruinen, schöne Wasserfälle und andere landschaftliche Highlights sind in der Umgebung zu finden. Sibette und Anne Jan machen die Unterkunft zu etwas sehr Besonderem. Man fühlt sich von der ersten Sekunde an sehr willkommen. Die Whisky Lounge lädt einen abends zum Genießen guter Tropfen ein. Die Auswahl ist mit rund 380 Flaschen vielfältig und bestens ausgesucht. Die beiden Gastgeber verfügen über sehr gutes Fachwissen und haben immer eine passende Empfehlung parat. Auch die Whisky Pairings sind perfekt zusammengestellt und sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben die Urlaubstage bei den Beiden sehr genossen. Auf unseren langen Tagestouren haben wir uns immer schon auf die entspannten Abende und angenehmen Gespräche gefreut. Wir können den Besuch bei Sibette und Anne Jan uneingeschränkt empfehlen und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! Vielen Dank für die schönen und erholsamen Tage in eurem Haus. Steffen & Silke Wonderful B&B in a peaceful location. The rooms are lovely decorated and furnished. Breakfast and the optional evening meals are highly recommended. The selection is outstanding and everything was prepared with a lot of love. The view from the dining room is absolutely fantastic! Located directly in the Speyside, you can explore a lot of destilleries. If you like to do tastings there, the hosts also offer a shuttle service. Also old castles, ruins, beautiful waterfalls and other scenic highlights can be found in the area. Siebette and Anne Jan make the accommodation something very special. You feel very welcome from the first second. The Whiskey Lounge invites you to enjoy good drams in the evening. With around 380 bottles, the selection is diverse and well selected. The two hosts have very good knowledge and always a good suggestion. The whiskey pairings are also perfectly compiled and absolut recommended. We really enjoyed the vacation days with both of them. On our long day tours, we have always looked forward to the relaxed evenings and pleasant conversations. We can highly recommend visiting The Gables Whisky B&B and we will definitely be back! Hi Wir waren am 21.08.20 für eine Nacht in diesem wunderschönen und mit viel Liebe eingerichteten B&B zu Gast. Man kann es kaum besser haben. Sibette hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns bei einem kleinen Problem sofort geholfen. Wir hatten abends in dem gemütlichen Gemeinschaftsraum ein feines Whiskytasting, aber fast noch besser fanden wir die angenehme Unterhaltung mit unseren Gastgebern. Das extra zubereitete Abendessen und das Frühstück hat auch keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Unser Fazit: wer in Dufftown übernachten will, sollte sich hier einquartieren. Eva und Thomas

So much more than a warm welcome I stayed at the Gables earlier this month with my Wife and my parents. Dad has been ill and shielding and wanted to visit Scotland, we decided that a trip to the Cairngorms would tick all the boxes. I needed two bedrooms one ground floor with disabled shower facilities which the Gables could provide booking was easy and Anne Jan was extremely helpful when I called to arrange our trip. On arrival we were all made very welcome, the location is fantastic with amazing uninterrupted views, the rooms clean and comfortable (Mum said she felt as Covid Safe as if she was at home!), the food was lovely , home cooked with a nice choice for the evening as well and as far as the Whisky choice for a evening dram it was off the scale!. The pricing is very reasonable and Anne Jan is happy to guide you through his over 250 bottle collection to find some hidden gems. I have to say that our stay could not have been better! Our hosts were fantastic with nothing being too much trouble, I highly recommend the Gables its like a home from home, we are already planning a return visit.

Perfect Whisky B&B Perfect! We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed with everything you could want- tea, coffee, hot chocolate, plenty phone charging sockets, toiletries, cost hangers etc. Everything had been thought of. Anne Jan and Siebette were wonderful and generous hosts and their home has amazing views. Deer even visit the garden sometimes. And they’re on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park and the Dark Sky area so with the right weather the skies are amazing. The whisky lounge is spectacularly well stocked and it’s a treat to be taken on a journey through their collection by Anne Jan and Siebette and to be introduced to some wonderful drams along the way. We’ll be back!

Amazing place This B&B is amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean, bed was extremely comfortable and the hosts are welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed a whisky tasting in the guest lounge, the hosts have a vast knowledge of whisky, distilleries, and the area which they are more than happy to share. The breakfast was great and served in the conservatory that has amazing views. The hardest part was leaving!

Brilliant stay Host were both very friendly , taking time in the morning and evening to talk with their guests . They were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble . The room and facilities wwere excellent , everything you could possibly require . Breakfast was faultless and the added addition of Anne Jan & Siebette whisky collection was a deserved focal point for discussion

Caledonia Glasgow We had booked up to this hotel and as we were the first to arrive after the hotels were allowed to open it was well prepared, cleanliness, sanatised and we were all wearing masks. The room was lovely and clean, very modern and comfortable with the usual tea/ coffee and little treat of chocolate too, also spectacular views. It was nice to be a 1.5 mile from Dufftown and you could go for a stroll after dinner and enjoy the scenery. Anne Jan had offered to take us into Dufftown and come back for us if we wanted a drink locally. Siebette was a lovely chef, breakfast was most enjoyable and we also had an evening meal there too, which was very tasty, Anne Jan surprised us with Sherry to pour over our ice cream which was really delicious. Good choices of menu for evening meal too! Overall lovely hosts and would certainly recommend this hotel, especially if you are a whisky enthusiast, lots of different whiskies which they are well read up on.

The nicest place to stay in Speyside! This lovely B&B is just outside of Dufftown witch is a perfect location if you want to visit Speyside. I had such a good time! Very lovely people who will help you with anything and can drive you to the distillery's you want to visit. The rooms are very beautiful and the view is amazing! They have thought about everything and even have a great whisky lounge with a very big whisky collection. If you ever want to visit Speyside make shure you stay with them. I can promise you that you won't regret it!

Een geslaagde trip Dankzij de gastvrijheid van Anne Jan hebben mijn zoon, die Anne Jan uit het onderwijs kende, en ik vier heerlijke dagen gehad. Heerlijk ontbijt, nette en comfortabele kamer met goede bedden en veel tips voor leuke buitendagen. Mijn zoon heeft ook genoten van de whisky. Een aanrader voor iedereen die gastvrij ontvangen wil worden!

Lovely B & B run by lovely people! We stayed here one night in October 2019. We had the Whisky Room, which was very large and well appointed. The whole place is very clean, and the owners are wonderful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious too!

Great Hospitality The breakfast was quite nice and the "library" collection of scotch whiskey was remarkable. We really enjoyed getting to know the couple who own the B&B. The B&B is just a short distance from Dufftown and the Balvenie Distillery, which produces our favorite scotch.

Excellent stay! We had a really wonderful stay in this B&B. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and perfectly themed. The hosts were warm, welcoming and really forthcoming. Food was literally the best we had in Scotland and the collection of whiskys was astounding (I even found new favourite there). Also, the cats were adorable! It truly was a highlight of our Scotland visit and without doubt, we will come back one day. Greetings from Estonia!

Whisky lovers oasis We loved our stay at the gables! This was my first stay at a B&B and Anne and Siebette knocked it out of the park. First, communication: while planning our trip Siebette helped us coordinate whisky tours in the area and gave us her recommendations. She planned and made all of the bookings for us and drove us (for a small fee) between distilleries. She was extremely fast while communicating which alleviated my pre-trip worries. Second: the accommodations were absolutely lovely. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. We stayed in the whisky room and the decorations were adorable. The dining area was a sunroom with views of the Scottish rolling hills and wild life. Third: the hosts, Anne and Siebette sat with us in the whisky lounge all night and chatted with us. We are very into whisky and they had some rare bottles for tasting at very reasonable prices. They made recommendations and even created a custom whisky flight for us based on our tastes. It was so much fun! Side note, they are located about 2 miles outside of Dufftown which is clearly stated all over their descriptions. We didn't want to stay in town so this was fine with us but just FYI. I thought the location was beautiful and didn't want to stay in town so I was happy with this. (Also they have cats for any kitty lovers!) Thank you so much to Siebette and Anne! We are definitely coming back!

Der perfekte Ort für Urlaub - mit oder ohne Whisky! Auf einer Whiskyrundreise mit Freunden durch Schottland sind wir in diesem wunderschönen, gastfreundlichen, mit viel Herz und Leidenschaft geführtem B&B gelandet und hatten einen perfekten stressfreien Tag!. Wir haben uns eine Whiskytour mit Fahrer (3 Destillerien) von Anne Jan und Siebette planen lassen und wurden den ganzen Tag rundum verwöhnt. Wir mussten uns um nichts kümmern, wurden von Destillerie zu Destillerie gefahren und konnten den Whiskey und die Landschaft in vollen Zügen genießen. Am Abend gab es dann noch ein ausgezeichnetes Abendessen im B&B mit dem herrlichen Ausblick auf die wunderschöne Natur Schottlands, da das B&B auf einem Hügel liegt, liegt einem die Natur zu Füßen und man muss nur mehr abschalten und genießen. Auch das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen, da man sich frei aussuchen kann, was immer das Herz begehrt. Die Zimmer sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, sauber und sehr gemütlich. Auch die Whiskeybar lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es war ein wirklich rundum perfekter Aufenthalt und wir würden jederzeit wieder gerne im Gables Whisky B&B zu Gast sein. A perfect stop in Speyside I booked here because of how close it is to the Glenfiddich distillery. I can't rate this place hight enough. The property is quaint but beautifully decorated (check out the whisky theme room) and the hosts go out of there way to help you out. When booking i enquired about what transport was like to the distillery since i didn't want to drive for obvious reasons. They promptly emailed me back offering to drive me to my tours at no extra charge. Also because of my poor planning I had to leave there very early in the morning which was before breakfast, the host kindly packed a breakfast for me and left it in the fridge for me to collect on my way out. I really wish i could have stayed for normal breakfast
