We sent back the damaged gate door it took about 3 weeks for them to turn it around and send it back. Communication can be slow. I would note that the black nut and bolt supplied with the system are rusting. We will probably replace those with some stainless steel. Overall we're pleased with the fence Previous review: I recently purchased four panels and a gate from the Steel Gallery Company, and unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing. The quality of the products is far below expectations. There are visible welding splashes, scuffs, and scrapes underneath the paintwork, and the panels are sharp where these welding splashes are present, which suggests poor workmanship and a lack of attention to detail. The gate arrived damaged, with a noticeable bend and a poorly fitted locking mechanism. Additionally, there was a six-centimeter-long scratch on the edge of the door that had been badly repaired by someone, making it even more obvious. The base plates were also bent. The bend in the door was clearly due to improper shipping, as a small box containing the keys was placed in such a way that it pushed against the door panel, bending it. To make matters worse, the packaging even included a shop hand brush with the word "Lazer" written on it. This seemed careless and unprofessional, adding to the overall impression of poor quality control. What has made this experience even more frustrating is the lack of customer service. We sent an email about these issues, but it has been 8 days with no response. Trying to reach them by phone is impossible; no one ever answers. Overall, I’m very dissatisfied with both the product quality and the customer service from Steel Gallery Company. I would not recommend this company to others based on my experience

Very disappointing from start to finish for made to order gate! Difficulty communicating even trying to place order. They don't answer calls even when messages left so you must email and it takes 24- 72 hours for reply. Original drawing had error due to them not reading my written request correctly causing delays. 10-15 working day receipt of goods stated on order didn't happen. My goods arrived 8 weeks after order placed and paid for. Gate went missing with them blaming the delivery company but delivery company assured me they had not even received it. Gate arrived damaged and email sent letting them know and I've had no reply. Gate doesn't come with instructions. Gate doesn't come with fittings to fix to the wall. Advised gate can open outwards or inwards by reversing hinges and stop plates which is true however the strike plate for the lock is not reversible so gate only opens towards you from front facing. Although the dent is small it is quite noticeable when the light hits it in a certain way and considering it cost over £600 I feel it should have been perfect. It has been a very stressful purchase and just wanted to share my experience as I feel I was mislead with all the good reviews.

I was looking for a large “tree of life” wall art to brighten the view from the bedroom office window, the steel gallery product ticked all the boxes, I’m very pleased with all aspects of my purchase, so much so I bought a second piece to both hide an overflow pipe and bring some art to the back garden, again very happy with everything.

I have ordered 4 panels from the steel gallery, and the communication is woeful, no answers the phones, no one replies to contact emails, it is near on impossible to find out what is going. I still do not know when my products are arriving.

Quality robust gate and screen, well packaged with good overnight tracking data, arrived undamaged with everything supplied for a very easy fitting of both the gate and decorative wall screen.

Great product and great service. We've used the screens as a see through panel in our high garden fence opening up views to the surrounding countryside. Had lots of compliments since we installed them.

Would not recommend this company. Gate ordered on the 20th August, promises quick turn around on website, only just received on 26th sept. Can handle delays however; really hard to get in touch, the telephone is never answered, voicemails are never returned. Sporadic emails that give vague answers to your questions so you are kept out of the loop. The tracking service didn’t work, we assumed it was a problem with the courier however when we got in touch with the courier they said the order for collection had been placed but the product wasn’t ready for collection yet; basically a tracking number was created to try and keep us happy but left us even more in the dark. The gate arrived with damage to the corner, paintwork chipped away and metalwork damaged. In the initial apology email for the delays we were told we would be receiving free wall art for the inconvenience but that did not show up either. Delays happen, can fully appreciate that, but the lack of clear communication and the state of the product on delivery are a lot harder to understand.

It is with some disappointment that I find myself writing to the steel gallery today, although I felt it necessary to investigate the complaint myself prior to corresponding on the matter. Having waited some time for the purchased item, and had the news that the gate and sundry items had been delivered to our office (albiet five weeks late). I was frankly astonished to be told that in addition to the delayed receipt of the goods, not only was there no keep plate with the lock set provided (whilst there are holes drilled in the end post lock side to receive the same). But that the lock and handle had been installed in the gate upside down, and that due to its asymmetric position on the gate, the only way to align the lock with the pre-cut keep aperture was in fact to invert the gate. Furthermore, I then learned that when the lock was subsequently reverted, the fixing holes within the handle casing were no longer aligned and thus the handle could not be used. It has also transpired that the pre-drilled fixing holes for the top rail are only aligned on the end post lock side. The end post hinge side pre-drilled fixing holes are 15mm lower than the corresponding holes in the top rail end plate, and drilling new holes in the end post hinge side to match the top rail end plate would leave insufficient material to securely fix two new rivet nuts. Clearly, your quality control department is lacking the requisite ability to perform to the most rudimentary of levels; as a simple test assembly would have identified the issues in question and enabled them to be rectified prior to delivery. Evidently, the item as received was not fit for purpose. However, rather than return the goods and pursue your organisation for a full refund, we have elected to engage a third party to resolve these issues due to time constraints. Needless to say, we will not now be purchasing the twenty-one bespoke and matching fence panels that we had discussed at the time of our initial enquiry from the Steel Gallery.

Absolutely stunning gate supplied by The Steel Gallery! Gorgeous Corten Steel gate and they fitted my preferred lock. The gate has really finished off the front of the property and fits perfectly. The team at Steel Gallery were always helpful & courteous. Highly recommended!

Too early to say - website looks good. Easy to navigate. But just placed order, so can't comment further.

I bought a gift for my wife for her birthday from these guys. More than ever i especially worry about buying from dodgy websites who produce shoddy products or provide a poor service. I was more than impressed with the team at The Steel Gallery especially when my item arrived. The price, packaging and product were all exceptional. I have now hung it in pride of place in the garden. It was that last piece of the jigsaw which completes the vista in the garden. Nice one team

Great wall art, very happy.

We purchased two wall/ fence panels which we found to be well made as described. The design chosen looks even better than we ever thought once they were put into place. They have weathered well since they were installed and positioned in the garden. Friends have commented how well they look with the garden corten rustic edge together with the fence colour. Good choice to use the steel gallery. Nigel Garlick
