I ordered almost $250 worth of firewood 5 days ago, and after 8 phone calls, one deliver attempt with them leaving before delivering the wood because they didn't have their act together, and me asking them to invoice me for whatever extra charge would be required (yes, I willing to even pay more), I still don't have my firewood.
Website is confusing, staff seem all over the place, they don't call back when they say they will, even after promising they will. Website isn't clear what to select to get something as simple as wood delivered and stacked into your apartment, and staff don't know how to charge for it and send the message to the delivery guy.
Poorly managed for something so simple.
Manager's reply is so misleading -- I literally agreed to pay whatever extra would be required. They invoiced me but then still didn't deliver it. 6 days later, still nothing from them. STAY AWAY.

To clarify, the delivery you ordered was for curbside drop-off, which is outlined in our delivery terms. Additional services, such as bringing firewood into an apartment or stacking it, require extra fees due to the time and labor involved. Bringing the wood into the apartment and placing it where you request is part of our White Glove Service. Removing the wood from the wrapping and stacking the individual logs is not a fixed amount. These services are available on a case-by-case basis, as we must account for the complexities and logistics of such requests.
When you asked for these additional services after the delivery was scheduled, we promptly provided quotes, but we understand that they may not have met your expectations. While we strive to make our pricing clear, we also acknowledge your feedback that our website and communication could be improved to better explain these options in advance.
We offered to refund your order or proceed with the delivery as originally arranged, but we understand that this solution was not what you were hoping for. Please know that we value your feedback and will use it to improve our processes, including clearer instructions on our website and more efficient communication with our team.

Got our Christmas tree here after struggling to find larger trees (we were looking for a 10 foot tree) and being quoted astronomical prices downtown. The service was so helpful and attentive, they were so sweet to my kids, and they had a huge selection of trees of all sizes. Once we picked ours they tied it to our car, and we were on our way. Will come back to this spot every year, and highly recommend to anyone looking for an alternative to the ripoff tree stands across Manhattan.

Do not deal with this company. They did a lousy job and overcharged me on inferior product. When I contacted the manufacturer of the product that I bought, I was advised that Urban Garden Center never paid the manufacturer. Life is too short to deal with unscrupulous folks. Apparently, it all starts at the top and the owner is not a good person.

Unerwartet richtig gut. Gute Auswahl, gesunde Pflanzen mit Wachstumstrieben, schöne Location, freundlicher Service, gute Preise (gute Auswahl um $10). Samstag bis Montag gibt es 25% auf Zimmerpflanzen. Kann es nur empfehlen!

If you're a plant parent, this is the place to go. Not only do they have a wide variety, they start at $5.👍👍and they have live chickens that roam around, so CUTE!!!

UGC carries both indoor and outdoor plants, along with the usual plant supplies and gardening accessories. The indoor plant selection isn't that great and the prices are high considering the size and condition of the plants. Even on sale they're not worth it. I bought a ceramic planter and (unbeknownst to me until my first time watering) there were hairline cracks running through it top to bottom. Waste of money. I don't see myself coming back.
Edit: In response to the owner's reply, the roundtrip fare would mean I only get back like $6 so I don't see the point in returning the pot.

Beautiful hidden gem with friendly staff! I got a great Mother’s Day gift here. Wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants but also great plant accessories, like gorgeous decorative pots and hangers. Most of the plants seemed to be in good health as well

This was my favorite plant store in Harlem, unfortunately the owner or social media manager insists on being political. I don't know what congestion pricing has to do with a plant store.

Really cute and convenient nursery that has most common houseplants and a few more rare varieties. The staff here is very nice and approachable and about as knowledgeable as most houseplant owners. Where I have to take off some points is the quality of their plants. I've bought several plants from them and each one, and I truly mean each one, has had a pest. The very first one was mealy bugs, which I still deal with with my other house plants to this day. It's cost me two of my oldest plants. I most recently purchased another plant, which on inspection at home looked okay, but later turned out to have spider mites. None of my other plants from other nurseries have this issue, so I feel it must be related to the supplier to the UGC. It's worth going to look around because of its good selection of plants and the nice people, but their plants need extra careful inspection and isolation before being introduced to the general population.

Located underneath an overpass and truly just such a cool spot. Big variety of indoor plants, outdoor ones, along with all the supplies (even have a soil bar, which I'd never seen before!). Fair prices, too. Highly recommend!

BEWARE. This company does not honor their guarantee. UGC installed my garden last year and promised that they would replace any plants that died within a year. Everybody survived except the centerpiece tree. They came and pulled out the tree but they are now refusing to replace it. I will reporting them to the BBB as well.
This was a $15K+ job.
In addition, although they did a good job with protecting the floors and the walls on the install, they mucked up the a new paint job on the ceiling with the first, now dead tree.
Finally, (as if more were needed), they are extraordinarily poor communicators. It takes days and weeks to get responses out of them.
No idea about the store, but I'd avoid their installation service LIKE THE PLAGUE. Very poor service.

Despite this year rocky experience with miss delivery two times, they managed to fix everything last minute. Exactly when I gave up on getting my order and asked for a refund they fixed everything and found a decent replacement. So far so good, but please pay more attention to your delivery process.
