A complete kitchen remodel is a big deal and ordeal. When we started to plan for it, USA Cabinet Store was our first stop. Brian set the tone for listening to needs/wishes/wants/etc. and came up with a great design! We did get 3 other contractor offers/inputs - none were of the same comfort and quality. Deniz helped us with our budget - thank you! Angello and the team set about completing the work in 8 weeks, which is what we expected. A couple of hiccups along the way were handled easily and with our input. The team even helped us keep our original flooring - which looks brand new against the new kitchen. This was a better experience than I expected. From start to finish. Entire kitchen remodel start to finish, though never easy, they did a phenomenal job. The people who placed everything were professional and did a meticulous job. Eddy was awesome he communicated on everything and kept in touch so I always knew what was happening. From our first visit to their showroom through the completion of the project, they were collaborative as we worked through multiple design iterations and selected the materials for our renovation. I worked with Selman from W Kitchen and Bath on my kitchen remodeling project. The design process was enjoyable and fun from start to finish. I'm doing a kitchen remodel and spent the past two months researching the market to find a good, reliable company for the project. After visiting more than 10 local dealers and comparing many different cabinet brands, I decided to work with Selman at W Kitchen and Bath to make the transformation happen.
I had a very positive experience working with Selman at W Kitchen and Bath in Rockville, MD. He made the kitchen design and purchasing process easy to understand and enjoyable from the beginning.
Selman really took the time to learn about my preferences and what I wanted to accomplish with my kitchen remodel. He provided helpful guidance, thoughtful suggestions, and design ideas that made the decision-making process much easier.
I especially appreciated his patience, professionalism, and attention to detail. He was always willing to answer my questions and explain the different options, without ever making me feel rushed or pressured.
The showroom offers a wide variety of quality products, and Selman helped me find choices that worked well with my style, needs, and budget. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience and would gladly recommend Selman and W Kitchen and Bath to anyone considering a kitchen and bath remodel.
What a headache. The first week meeting the designer went great–all “can-dos,” and they had some good ideas. The cabinets arrived on schedule as well. After that, it went downhill quickly. The first day, the contractor laughed when we mentioned expecting a one-week job as quoted by the designer. He said, "Try three," which in the end turned out to be about eight weeks, most of which were fraught with issues. Since we had a new baby at the time, we stayed at our parents' house for the first two weeks. The third week we were back in the house, and it was like living in a construction zone.
The quality of work was decent but not great, with little attention to detail, so items would have to be done repeatedly until they were correct. There was a lot of blaming us for things, such as when the dishwasher started leaking, we heard, “That always happens, you should buy another one.” Cabinet doors scraped the ceiling and had to be lowered, but now they are uneven because they didn't lower all of them. They put up tarps to contain the dust, but used nails to hang them, and we had to ask them to repair the holes they made in the walls. They repeatedly tried to deny culpability in a fan that stopped working and lights that stayed on in the house, telling us that the circuit wasn't touched by them when, in fact, it had been relocated during the first week. Several items were vaguely worded in the contract as well, so as a result we ended up paying a separate contractor to finish several of the tasks–for instance, they wired for a disposal but didn’t put a switch in and insisted that cost was on us.
The most infuriating part was that as the project dragged on more and more, they wouldn’t answer our emails for about a week, then they’d wait several more days to send one of their techs out for a few hours at a time. It was obvious they had no interest in working on the house anymore, and if we hadn’t insisted on not paying them until all the punch list items were complete to our satisfaction, we would never have seen them finished. They even had the gall to try and press us for more money for work they had already completed, which they stopped bringing up only after we told them we were prepared to go to court over it.
In the end, the project is done, and we’re maybe 85% pleased with it. They are fine to purchase cabinets and get design ideas from, but we would never recommend them to anyone we know to do the actual work based on their mediocre skills and can’t-be-bothered attitude.
