This place is incredibly special and very, very old. Long may it run! Dining in is the way to relish it – but how delightful that, for takeaway, they sell their cheesecake not by the slice but by the pound.

Veniero’s is my go-to spot when I want to impress with a cake and pastries. Their chocolate mousse cakes are incredible. Their eclairs are fresh, their cookies are buttery; I’m sure the crumbs on the counter are great too. They can’t make a bad desert. Make sure you take a number and walk all the way in.

It was my first time visiting on a cold New York night. I was not disappointed. They have a huge variety of desserts. I got a hot chocolate and Italian cream rum cake. My friend got the spumoni. They were both excellent and I would absolutely return again!

Over 100 years old and still going. Sit down or takeout 🥡. Moderately clean facilities. Nice staff. Reasonably priced. Card payment is accepted. Always a long line at night and on the weekends. Give this place a try if you’re in the Lower East Side area. We will definitely be going back.

Love this place!! Desserts are good, ambience was nice. They will have a line on weekends but you can wait or have it to go. We ordered: cheese cake, black forest, cake with banana slice, and tiramisu.
