We have been walking the South West Coastal path with Walk the Trail for over a decade and cannot praise them enough. They have adjusted and adapted our walks for the last 4 years to include our (now) 5 year old daughter and they think of everything to keep her happy, from the best accomodation, to where we can stop and see things she might like. The week we spend walking using the itenary the team creates for us is the best week of the year for all of us and we can't wait to get back out next summer. Thank you to the whole team and I'll be in touch with dates for 2025 shortly!

Can't say enough great things about this organization. They were so easy to work with from start to finish. Not only did they set up everything perfectly for my trip, but when there was a small issue, they were super quick to follow up. I would confidently use them again anytime.

In late August 2024, my sister and my neice and I traveled from Alabama and Tennessee to hike the 73 miles of the South West Coast Path from Exmouth to Lulworth Cove in celebration of my 70th birthday. It was a fantastic walk made even better by the services provided by Walk The Trail! From the beginning planning stages through to the last evening of our hike, the Walk The Trail team was available, responsive, reliable, good-natured and helpful. The accommodations they booked for us were, without exception, perfect. We loved staying in the small, independent hotels and B&Bs! They were all located in places that were easy to walk to from the trail. The breakfast at each place was generous, nourishing and really good. Thank you, Linda, Mike and all your team for the great job you did for us! We would definitely use Walk The Trail again. Here are a few pictures including one is us in Exmouth the evening before the start of our hike.

Just home after walking 14 days on the SWCP, Minehead to Padstow. What a beautiful stretch of coastline................ Many thanks to Linda, Mike and the team at Walk the Trail for a fantastic trip. The comprehensive information we received prior to our trip was superb and the contact during our walk was much appreciated regarding our care. We are looking forward to booking up for the next stage! Elaine and Ann

Highly Recommend the company Walk the Trail Linda, Mike and the team at Walk the trail are quite frankly brilliant. We had a very tricky section of the SWCP (Portloe-Exmouth) to negotiate with a number of river crossings to get across or around and at times lack of accommodation on or nearby the trail. This didn't faze the Walk the trail team and they put together a great trip that suited us perfectly and worked out perfectly. I am not sure other companies are able to provide a bespoke trip as well as them. I would highly recommend Walk the Trail to anyone thinking about a self guided walking tour on any of the tours that they are offering the personal service is excellent.

I've used the Walk the Trail team (Linda, Mike et al) twice now for SWCP tours and had a thoroughly great time on both occasions! 1) SWCP St Ives-Penzance in 2022 Firstly it was great that there was flexibility within each section of the SWCP to work out your itinerary based on the average number of miles per day, it was extremely easy to book and make enquiries online, and once you had confirmed a booking, you have an online portal with information. They made sure our walker's pack was posted with plenty of time to arrive by international mail - SWCP guide book, detailed ordinance maps for our sections, night-by-night itinerary with links to maps for each section of the trail and a location for our B&B accommodation. In the end I never used the paper maps because they also recommended using the Komoot app, so we were able to get GPS navigation of each day's hike (which was helpful in some of the more remote areas where the trail was less clear; sometimes there seemed to be public footpaths/byways at various intersections that we did need to walk but at other times the SWCP was different, so it wasn't always clear which path to take). It was extremely easy to get in touch with the team - we opted to use the environmentally friendly public bus option to get from Porthcurno to our accommodation in Penzance, but it only came hourly and once they reached the maximum number of passengers, they wouldn't take anymore. So we were grateful for Linda's assistance as they helped us book a taxi and took care of the payment. They were kind enough to check up regarding the extreme weather warnings. Note that the baggage transfer is strict on 20kg - but it was easy to pay for a bit of extra baggage to be transferred for the next stops. The B&Bs selected were perfectly charming - all of the breakfast options were delicious and extremely filling - we barely needed to eat during the hikes. When we were unable to join at the usual breakfast time due to getting started early on the hike, our host in Penzance made us a take-away breakfast bag of goodies so that we wouldn't miss out! Regarding the hike itself, the views for this section of the SWCP were spectacular - and we had some excellent weather to appreciate the fine views. We were immensely thankful for the wonderful organisation of the team from Walk the Trail and truly enjoyed our hassle-free self-guided walking tour. We would thoroughly recommend them, and if we end up back in the UK hiking again, we will definitely rebook with them! 2) Penzance-Polperro in 2024 (customised trip length) Having had such an awesome experience in 2022, I used Walk the Trail again this year for another section of the SWCP as a solo hiker. I wanted to walk a slightly longer section than the "routine" ones advertised, so I was able to use the "anywhere to anywhere" function to decide the exact section and average miles per day and added a rest day in my personalised itinerary. Again everything was organised so well with daily itineraries and trip notes (eg. ferry crossings, expected low tide). This time they used AllTrails for the mapping app. All of the accommodation options were fabulous - the hosts in Porthleven and The Lizard were particularly gregarious and welcoming, and the food was just as generous and tasty as before! (Again, I barely had to eat on the trail itself due to the large breakfasts served, and I was hiking 18-28k per day!). Beware on relying just on the app for trail navigation - having the SWCP guide book and paper map is useful as there were some path detours and the app sent me on a section of beach that should have been on the clifftop. The weather gods weren't always favourable, but the hiking and the views were amazing as always. All in all another fabulous experience, and looking forward to my next SWCP adventure with the Walk the Trail team!

We Recommend WTT Our walk from Minehead to Clovelly on the SW Coastal Path was well organised and went like clockwork. Linda and the team at WTT were always prompt and helpful with any queries we had. The accommodation was good and the baggage transfers went without a hitch.

Perfectly organized. They really thought along with us, which resulted in a very good itinerary, with good information about travelling to and from the SWCP. Everything was perfectly organized and the B&B's/hotels were great. Taxi and luggage transfer were perfectly on time. If you choose for luggage transfer: the bags really need to be ready by 9 am! (Sometimes breakfast is at 8.30 or 9. So if you want to brush your teeth after breakfast, you have to keep your toothbrush with you!)

We had spent many years holidaying in the South West with our children and grandchildren. It was in September 2017 when we first had the idea of walking the South West Coastal Path encouraged by walking friends who had done it in the 1990’s. We don’t how we initially came across Walk the Trail, it certainly doesn’t ‘hit you in the face’ when doing Google searches, but glad we did. We found their Web site impressive and easy to navigate. From the first tentative enquiries, they sent a lengthy reply which showed they had a very good grasp of what they did, together with valid suggestions. It was in May 2018 that we set out on the first leg with some trepidation with our own ability to ‘do the course’ and how WtT would shape up. By the end, in Westward Ho!, our fears came to nought on both counts. We completed a most enjoyable week without mishaps. WtT had arranged good accommodation which, with their personal holiday pack, we found with ease. Their sister company, Luggage Transfers, took excellent care of our cases and delivered to the correct places as they have done throughout. In May 2022 we completed the Path. A total of 47 days fantastic walking and travelling 690 miles (which included diversions and detours). All with the expertise of WtT who had given us good and even some excellent accommodation. They take all the stress and hassle out of booking with their wealth of experience. A task we would find impossible to obtain to the same standard and retaining our sanity. All we needed to do was get ourselves there and back, sort out some eating places, and enjoy the walking. We liked it so much we are starting again this September2022. Just doing our favourite bits, which is more or less all of it, using, who else, but WtT who are able to adjust itineraries accordingly to suit our needs. An ability which they have shown throughout. Over the years, we have built up a very good rapport and affinity with Linda (who has quite a ‘turn of wit’) and the team. When we got our Certificate for completing the Path, we asked the team to sign it for us as they were so integral to the success of our achievement. Our star rating is 5+. They are extremely good at the job, working hard and efficiently. Even through the Covid crisis to pull out ‘all the stops’ making last minute changes to re-book our holiday dates at short notice. We cannot fault them at all.

Minehead to Bude, May 2024: Superb What an incredible walk of the first 125 miles of the SWCP. Though the Walk the Trail team couldn't control the weather - most of which was very good - they did arrange for great lodging (some were superb) and were always prompt in responding to us. We especially appreciated having the All Trails subscription and the daily walks plotted for us. Not that you can get lost on the SWCP, but it was nice to know how much further we had to go! And, of course, the Trailblazer guide book was equally helpful. Linda suggested some days off in great locations (don't miss Clovelly) and our 70+ year old bodies appreciated those. We highly recommend Walk the Trail.

Zennor to Coverack We have just returned from walking from Zennor to Coverack. A trip organised by Linda and her team at Walk the Trail. It was first rate in every way. Efficient, kind organisation, excellent hosts and all the taxis arrived as planned. The pre walk details were very good. Even the weather obliged. This was our second year with WTT and we will certainly be using them again. I can not recommend them highly enough

What an Adventure! We recently returned from the UK where we spent 12 days in Cornwall, walking the South West Coast Path. Since it was our first time in the area doing this kind of trip, we had a lot of questions. We spent some time researching and reaching out to the various companies specializing in this kind of trip to help us plan. We settled on Walk the Trail because they responded quickly, provided great suggestions, had reasonable rates and had great reviews. We were thoroughly pleased with our choice. The suggested itinerary was perfect. The trail tools provided were very useful and accurate. The accommodations selected were well located, super clean, friendly and had amazing breakfasts. Our luggage was picked up and delivered every day without a hitch. Schedules for ferries were helpful and a booking for a taxi went smoothly. It was great to arrive at our location each afternoon, tired from walking and being able to simply check in to each accommodation by simply giving your name and to see our luggage waiting for us. Linda and the team at Walk the Trail did a fantastic job. While we were there, there were some train disruptions due to union activity. Even though our walking trip had ended, Linda sent us an email with alternate suggestions to help us get to our next destination by bus. She really went above and beyond. We would not hesitate to work with Linda and the team at Walk the Trail in the future.

Wonderful! Marvelous! Magnificent! Superb! Sublime! Anyone for more adjectives? We would like to say thank you. We had a wonderful time on the coastal path. The weather was thoroughly un-English and perfect: no rain at all and agreeable temperatures. All the accomodation was pleasant, the landlords/ladies likeable and the baggage transfers worked like a Swiss clockword (;-). Not to mention the admirable «forgotten-shoes-services»: I had left them in a B&B in Newquay and Walk the Trail saw to it that they were sent to the next accommodation but one. And the landscape, the coastline, the sandy beaches, the seals, the occasional encounters with fellow hikers – everything was magnificent! We will certainly recommend your tour to friends and acquaintances.

Boscastle to Plymouth early Spring. Last year, Minehead to Boscastle, this year, 2024, Boscastle to Plymouth. First 2 weeks weather atrocious, very strong wind, rain and hail. But how can you appreciate sunny weather if you haven't experienced all that? Last 8 days, apart from a couple of mornings, glorious clear or sunny weather. Some parts of the path dreadful, deep water, one deep wide bog, and huge lengths of mud bordering on quagmire. South Cornwall coast has heaps of lovely towns and villages, quite a few tiny villages with a great cafe for a yummy coffee along the way. Lots of lovely B&Bs and lovely people along the way, as well as some brilliant pubs with fabulous beer! What more could a man want?
