Great place for a celebration
We hired out the cellar bar for a joint 50th birthday party. It's a great venue and the bar staff were really helpful. We had a brilliant night!

Great experience
Went here on Saturday with a group of girls for the bottomless brunch. We had a really good time. They were very accommodating with our group as we had a few pregnant/breastfeeding mums and varying budgets. Dj was really really good. Food was delicious. Lovely and clean and very well decorated. The pina colada was made to perfection!

Fun corporate night!
We had a brilliant night at waterlane for a private business event. Adnan was incredibly accommodating and made the night as fun as could be. Everything was very well organised and arranged in a timely manner. Would recommend and look forward to doing it again soon.

Worst "Bottomless Brunch" I have ever been to
Staff were extremely inattentive. Drinks took 20-30 mins to arrive each time ordered despite there being no queue at the bar. This included non alcoholic drinks. The food consisted of extremely small portions, and was cold, very basic and lacking any sort of detail, e.g. no salad dressing on salad. Full drinks were taken away near the end of the brunch from our table. These had been served only a few minutes before. I had a total of two drinks, multiple party members had drinks that did not arrive. Waiter was not friendly and did not smile.

Food needs improving
We visited on a Saturday afternoon with friends for food. Saturday afternoon is bottomless brunch! The food was expensive, small portions and tasteless. The music far too loud and the clientele the bottomless brunch attracted was embarrassing. The venue is really nice, I suggest you drop the bottomless brunch and improve the food then I might revisit.

We live in country where we don’t carry ID. Yet you asking for ID at 8pm just to have a drink. We don’t drive. So no driving licence either.

Hoping for a fun night out. Turned out to be an awful atmosphere with expensive drinks. Bishops Stortford is in desperate need of a late night venue. Water Lane is poised to take that position, but sadly they just don’t deliver.
