Returned back after 3 years. The previous Dr made my visits unpleasant which is why I stopped going BUT there seems to be new staff. Front staff and assistants were amazing. Dr Martinez gave me thorough explanation of my exam and made me feel very comfortable. I now once again feel very confident going back to this office and Dr Martinez is a huge reason for that.
This is the best dentist in all of DFW! Everyone is so kind, caring, works hard and always works with you. They are so convenient and wonderful! 10/10 would recommend
I used to HATE going to the dentist until I found West Davis. The star is so warm and friendly and always goes out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. And Dr. McMullen is the best - I always look forward to his dad jokes š

For someone who doesn't like going to the dentist, I must say West Davis Dental is the best dental office in Oak Cliff. They did get on to me for not keeping up with my appointments LOL, but that's only because they truly care for their patients. Dr. Martinez was amazing. She answered all my questions and explained in great detail of the type of cleaning I needed. I was mostly afraid of the local anesthesia that would be injected into my gums. Its one of the reasons that kept me from seeing the dentist. It had been 2 years since I last been here and knew I had to come because my teeth and gums were starting to concern me. Dr, Martinez assured me everything will be okay and it was. The experience really wasn't that bad lol. She did inform me of the importance of keeping up with my cleaning appointments. Ms Judy, the hygienist, was so nice and sweet. Anytime I felt just a pinch of pain, she would stop and ask if I was okay and that I was doing amazing. Really it was just me being a big baby. So if you are in need of a deep cleaning, I highly suggest this place. Everyone is extremely welcoming and they treat you like family. I even brought both my children here the same day as new patients. This dental office is truly the best. Dr. Martinez and Ms. Judy, I will see you ladies in 3 months!
Also the front desk was amazing. They smile and greet everyone that comes in. And I have been to several clinics where the employees look like they don't want to be there and they roll their eyes. Not this office. Everyone here was professional. So if you're looking into a dental clinic, I suggest this place. :)
Always have a good experience there, the only thing was I change my appt to an earlier appt and still was seen after my original appt, I should have kept the original but they did apologize for the wait
Love this place from the front desk to ever technician and the dentists, especially Dr. Martinez. They care about who you are and what you're going through. And their hours are unbeaten.
I started treatment at West Davis Dental when I was 14 for a class 3 crossbite. I was told the braces would be off by the beginning of my junior year of high school (around age 16-17), but that never happened. Every time I asked the orthodontist for an update or timeline, I was brushed off with vague answers like, āI canāt say for sure,ā with no real explanation or plan.
Years went by, and I ended up keeping the braces on far longer than necessary ā well over two years past the original estimate. On top of that, there were multiple times they completely failed to schedule my next appointment, leading to months of delays and no progress.
During treatment, I was made to wear rubber bands that caused extreme pain in my ears ā a deep, pressurized pain that felt like my eardrums were being crushed. It would wake me up in the middle of the night. I called the office multiple times about it, and they told me the pain was ācompletely normal.ā Spoiler: it wasnāt.
After years of frustration, I finally went to a different orthodontist just to get the braces taken off. Thatās when I found out I had impacted wisdom teeth ā something the original office never told me about. The new orthodontist explained that braces should never have been put on without removing my wisdom teeth first, and that this was likely the cause of the pain and setbacks I experienced.
Now, Iām 21 and still dealing with orthodontic issues that should have been resolved years ago. But I canāt afford to go through the process again. Thousands of dollars wasted, five years of unnecessary pain, and a total lack of proper care.
Do not go to this office. They were negligent, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
Jaden, thanks for the feedback. I'll fill in some details for you here since you chose this venue for communication. For me not go into too much detail, let me just clarify a few points. 1. For a patient to be finished in the timeframe estimated before the braces are started, the patient has to show up to every appointment given. Each time a patient no-shows there will have to be more time added to the treatment time, obviously. 2. When a patient eats hard things that are NOT natural foods (ice, hard candy, etc.) and therefore loses brackets, and do not come in immediately, negative things happen that needs to be reversed to get back on track, and that adds significantly more time to complete the treatment. The estimated time and cost is based on patient cooperation and compliance.
At West Davis Dental, we certainly have dealt with a lot of typical teenagers that aren't always as responsible or compliant as we need, so treatment time will in those cases take longer, require more resources and appointment, but NEVER have we charged any more than what was first quoted at the consultation appointment. In other words, we do not charge extra even when a patient does not show up for their appointments or when they do they have missing brackets. We just absorb the added expense and continue treatment and try to finish as quickly as possible. It is of absolutely no value for us for treatment to take any longer than necessay as any delay increases out expense. We want treament to be completed as quickly as possible to inconvenience the patient as little as possible and also to keep our expenses down.
In the case of every patient, we have a lot of notes, pictures, radiographs etc. that I will be happy to show and discuss in detail with you. Just make a free appointment with me and I'll be happy to explain it all to you.
Also, the assertion that braces should never be placed on a patient with wisdom teeth is plain and completely scientifically FALSE.
West Davis Dental is easily the best dentist office Iāve been to in Dallas. No one likes going to the dentist, but the team here are very friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled at what they do. The office is very nice and clean, plus their hours and the fact they are open 7 days a week are great for people like me who work a 9-5 job. Meaning I donāt have to miss work when I need a cleaning or dental procedure. Also big shoutout to Dr. Day and Dental Assistant Kimberly, they took great care of me and are extremely good at their job. As well as Ximena who greets you when you come in and is always very friendly and helpful.
I've been a patient for over 13 years and my grandson has been a patient for over 10 years, and we wouldn't go anywhere else. West Davis Dental has awesome doctors, assistants and super nice people to greet you. It's a beautiful office as well!
From the phone receptionist to the front desk West Davis Dental made me feel like a VIP! Everyone in office is kind and make you feel welcomed! The check in process was easy and the staff is always standing by and ready to help with any questions! The medical staff offered exceptional service by making sure I was comfortable and understood my procedure every step of the way! It truly was a patient centered experience! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! š«¶
20+ years as a patient at WDD and I have never received improper treatment or care from the doctors or staff! I recently called with a toothache emergency and was seen within 2 hours of my call. An appointment was offered for immediate treatment, however, I had to have my morning coffee first! Iāll never go anywhere else for my dental care.
The only complaint I have is with the parking situation at the W Davis location. This is due to the novelty of the Bishop Arts area; it requires you to scan a QR code to receive a free parking pass. So, beware of that inconvenience, but also be thankful that youāre not charged for parking.

The entire staff was friendly, professional and made me feel extremely comfortable. The hygienist was a magician. Iāve had what had been previously explained to me as some sort of bone or tooth growth between my two lower front teeth for at least 8 years. It always looked like I needed to brush or floss. I have my teeth cleaned every 6 months, brush and floss religiously. When I got home, that white piece was gone! Iām ecstatic! Iāll be back.
I do have to say, eeewwww. I lived with whatever that was for 8 years!!
