I recently moved to Arizona and decided to try West Portland Dental based on their positive reviews. Booking the appointment was easy, and the office itself was nice, but unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. It felt like the entire process was backwards compared to other dental offices I’ve been to. First, the dentist came in right away, which is unusual since I'm typically used to seeing the dentist only at the end of my appointment. He quickly mentioned that I had a cavity that needed filling, which I was fine with. However, it seemed like the office was understaffed — there was only one hygienist, and she was busy, so I was told by the dental assistant that she would be polishing and flossing my teeth while I waited. This was painful, which was a surprise since polishing usually isn't. When the hygienist finally arrived, she cleaned my teeth and mentioned they looked great, but I still don’t understand why they polished them before the cleaning — it felt out of order. After that, the dentist came back and suggested filling the cavity immediately, without numbing. I agreed, trusting his expertise, but the procedure was excruciating. They gave me only half the numbing, which didn’t work, and I had to wait for them to fully numb me. Even after that, the pain didn’t subside, and the next day, I was swollen and in severe pain. I couldn't even open my mouth or touch my face on that side without it hurting. To top it off, the filling broke within a week, and I didn’t feel comfortable returning to this office after the traumatic experience, so I went to a different dentist to get it fixed. The only positive aspect of this visit was the friendly receptionist, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not up to par. I won’t be returning and would recommend others look elsewhere for more consistent and comfortable care.

Nadia is a gem. She is one of the most skillful dental hygienist that have worked on my teeth.

I have been calling this place for two weeks already and they never answer my calls nor respond to my voicemails. So unprofessional. What type of business is this?

Very comfortable, clean, office. Nice staff, from when I 1st walked in filled out paper work on tablet. From Dr. dental hygienist, made going to the dentist as comfortable as possible. Made up plan for future apt's to have very clean, wonderful teeth, 😃!

I haven’t been here in a while… I came in last week and I was IMPRESSED with how wonderful my experience was there! a nice young lady I think Valeria Sanchez was her name. She cleaned my teeth and left them white as white can be HAHA😁, for sure will recommend this dentist to others!!!

Dr. Nejad has done an amazing job with what he’s doing at West Portland Dental. The inside of the building is very clean and all the staff are super respectful, kind and knowledgeable. During my appointment a girl named Valeria was an assistant during my time and she was awesome, started conversating and answered any questions I had. She’s very kind and takes cares of a patient with checkups and asking questions. Overall this place is a 5/5 will definitely come back again🙏!

LOVED LOVED LOOOOOOVED the office very clean, very nice, all the employees were very nice. Dr. Nejad was very helpful with what I needed and there was this nice little employee named Valeria Sanchez that was very nice and respectful towards me.

the office is very good, with really good staff. when i went in i loved valeria she was very sweet and very patient she was also a little cute haha. definitely recommend.

Can’t say enough of great things about this office. Staff are super nice and professional. The office is absolutely beautiful and modern. Dr Nejad is the nicest and the most honest DDS I have seen. Great place for all your dental work. My whole family go there and love it.

The Staff here is so nice. Always welcoming, making me feel at home. They are delicate in their procedures, never rushing through your appointment. They take the time to check-in with you and you don’t feel like a number. You only see the hygienist and the dentist, not 4 different people with their hands in your mouth. Family-like service. I highly recommend them.

reception, hygienists/assistants and dentist were all very kind. the interior is also beautiful. i’ve had other dentists be very rude in the past so i was afraid to go again but i had a really great experience here.
