Do NOT use Wisecars! I looked up reviews before booking with them, but clearly I did not look carefully enough. Only now am I seeing that they have a rating of ONE star with the Better Business Bureau. The Wisecars site looks like they're rated very well. After my experience, I tried to post a review on their site but couldn't figure out how to do it. Funny how that works. I had communicated with Wisecars the morning of my scheduled pick up (in Seattle, WA). They said everything was fine. When I got to the Thrifty counter to pick up, Thrifty said my rental had been cancelled. They had no cars available. I called Wisecars, and the representative told me that this is a known issue with Thrifty. I asked why they reserve cars through Thrifty if this is a known issue. Then the rep said it was only in the last couple days. Thrifty would not give me a different car. I went to the next counter, Hertz. The Hertz rep said they are a sister company of Thrifty. They would give me a car... for $685 when I showed my reservation was for $399! I ended up getting a car elsewhere (from Fox) for only $50 more. The Wisecars representative said he could get me another car, but it would take hours. Do not reserve through a third party. There's no help available. UPDATE: Someone from Wisecars emailed and called me within a day after I posted this review. She apologized for my experience and said that if I sent in my rental agreement, Wisecars would compensate me. They hoped I would then either take down this review or at least update with what's happened. I said that I would not remove the review, but I would update it. I sent in my rental agreement. I was told I would be compensated for the extra I had to pay . . . in Wisecars credits! I will NEVER use this company again so that is useless.

Me and my friends tried to rent a car in Milano. My driving license was lost and Europcar refused to respect my voucher. I contacted Wisecars which shortly replied that because I was the main driver and did not have my driving license on me, it was deemed as a "No Show" and so the money was transferred to Europcar and was effectively lost. I am aware that the conditions required me to have my license but besides Wisecars telling me in essence that it was my problem, they did not offer any additional support and left me to pay double the amount. Will not rent with them again!

Pessima esperienza, alla fine ho pagato molto di più e WiseCar e Budget si rimpallano la responsabilità dell'aumento. Uno dice che è solo un broker e non può farci niente, l'altro dice che a loro non interessa quali erano le condizioni contrattuali scritte dal broker. Mai più.

Terrible service, unhelpful. Called two days before a booking for changes that they claimed only the car rental company could make (who said it must be wise cars), ended up having to pay for two bookings. Rude customer service. Would not recommend.

When you contacted us less than 48 hours before the pick-up time requesting to change the main driver's name as they didn't have a credit card, the cancellation and modification window had unfortunately already closed. Our agents did their best to assist you by directing you to Budget to see if they could make an exception. However, it seems that changing the booking at that point was not possible. Unfortunately, if you fail to modify the reservation within the modification window and the main driver fails to present the necessary documentation, your reservation will be considered a No-Show and you are not eligible for a refund in that case. Be Warned!!!!........If you have an issue with your rental agreement or with the rental vehicle, there is nothing Wise Cars will do for you because they are a third party company involved in this transaction. Once they have taken your money there is no going back. Had an issue with Centauro Rental company which was booked by WiseCars. They would not address the situation and kept saying there is nothing they can do since they are a third party rental company. Stick to the more reputable companies if you care about losing money.

Do not book through Wisecars Do not book through Wisecars. Their customer service is unable to actually fix any situations that have to do with a partnered rental agency, which, each rental of course would be, since Wisecars doesn't actually rent any cars out. I booked through them with Thrifty in Boston. Their systems are not talking together because Thrifty did not have any cars available when I arrived. Because I was unable to get a car, I have sought a credit from Wisecars, which is who I paid hundreds of dollars. It has been over a month and no resolution. I am told to keep waiting. At first it was "two weeks", now, again, it's been over a month. If you're at all worried about not having a car available and then needing to wait on Wisecars' customer support to fix the situation, DO NOT book through Wisecars. You will not be satisfied.

Auto prenotata ad un costo prefissato comprensivo di assicurazione full. Prima cambiano il fornitore per un problema tecnico, rimborsando l'intero importo pagato in precedenza, poi al ritiro si scopre che il noleggio non è coperto da assicurazione full e quindi è necessario fare una nuova assicurazione con il fornitore oppure bloccare 1100€. Informazioni non condivise ovviamente in sede di prenotazione. Per evitare problemi abbiamo scelto di pagare l'assicurazione con il fornitore e il costo del noleggio è diventato più del doppio di quello pattuito in sede di prenotazione. Il fornitore riconosce il problema e, su mia richiesta, scrive a Wisecars per farci riconoscere almeno il costo dell'assicurazione prenotata e pagata con loro. Rimborso negato e negato anche qualsiasi tipo di rimborso per l'inconveniente e la scorrettezza. Prossima volta prenoterò direttamente con il fornitore diretto del noleggio, in modo da evitare spiacevoli sorprese.

La tua prenotazione includeva già l'assicurazione, più la copertura aggiuntiva che hai acquistato tramite il nostro sito web. Abbiamo contattato il fornitore e ci ha detto che hai accettato un'assicurazione aggiuntiva chiamata "Super Relax Protection". A volte, i fornitori potrebbero richiedere la propria copertura se non viene presentata una carta di credito per il deposito cauzionale, anche se non siamo certi che questo sia il caso. Unfortunately I did not believe what other said about this rental company. 10 days before our trip to pick the car, they email me that they can not guarantee the fulfillment of our reservation due to car availability. What kind of rental company is this? Took our money and for the last minutes to tell us that you can not fulfill the reservation. Now I have to scramble to find another rental companies and pay the big price for it at the last minute. They better refund our money, if not, for sure I will take to the court.

Do not trust this online scam that just likes to take the money and not helping any customers! I had extremely bad experience where the actual car company, in this case Fox was super friendly and Wisecars didn’t want to return money for cancelled service. Never again and I’ll sue them 💯. Quit lying and RETURN THE MONEY THIEVES!!!!

WORST experience ever, please rent your car somewhere else. Rented a car through this company one week before I needed it to find out, at the check in that, THEY HAD CANCELED MY VOUCHER. No, they didn’t send me any email with a cancellation in advance. This is Saturday morning and of course, when I called customer service, to try to find out what happed with my voucher, they couldn’t help me out. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!! It took me over 5 hours to find another rental company because no one had any car available and “Wise Cars” - not so WISE, didn’t help me either. I wish I had read reviews before using this company. I wish!!! So, my weekend getaway was ruined. I lost half of my day. By the time I found another car was already noon. When I emailed their customer service, trying to give them another chance to make it up for their mistake, the only thing they offered me was to REFUND my money. REALLY? NO KIDDING, Of course you’ll refund my money. No questions about it. They didn’t even read my entire email and, had the audacity to ask me to give them another chance in the future.. LOL Are you kidding me and who is gonna pay for all the events I had planned and reservations that I had lost? Nope, not them. The only thing they did was “apologize” and blame the car rental, which by the way, I had used before and never had a problem with. So, if you want peace of mind stay away. DO NOT BOTHER. STAY AWAY

They are scam I rented a car online on wisecars. When I went to York car rental to pick up the car from Toronto Pearson airport, they said they would not give me a car because I did not have an international driver's license. I called and asked wisecars to refund my money. But they didn't refund my money. In Toronto, where I came as a tourist for 10 days, they are deceiving people with the lie of an international driver's license to take your money. When Alamo, national, budget, avis etc. There is no such problem in all other chains. I rented a car from Alamo and had no ıssues such as international license.

I recently planned a month long road trip in Europe. I booked a car through wisecars and prepaid for a whole month. I flew from Los Angeles to Barcelona Spain, a 13 hour flight. When I arrived at the airport I experienced several delays in immigration and customs. I didn’t have an international SIM card and had no way to let them know I was running late. It took me hours to even get to pick up my bags. By the time I made it to the car rental counter to pick up my car several hours had passed. The agent at the counter for the company (record-go) told me that wise cars had canceled my reservation leaving me stranded in Barcelona. The car rental company (record-go) said their late policy is 24 hours which is reasonable(and can be confirmed online). However, wise cars decided to just keep an entire months rental fee for being a few minutes later than THEIR OWN policy allows. They didn’t care at all. No sympathy or forgiveness. They refused to help me and instead just left me with no transportation stranded at the airport. Don’t rent a car with this company because they have very unethical policies that only benefit them. You won’t find out till they have stolen your money.

The cancellation policy and grace period are determined by the car rental supplier—in this case, Record Go. Record Go, like many suppliers, has an established grace period for delayed pick-ups, which is outlined in their Terms of Service. Unfortunately, if the grace period is exceeded without prior notice, they may cancel the reservation. DO NOT USE...I should have listened to the reviews. Booked online paid everything but taxes for an upgraded large suv. Upon arrival in Kauai thrifty did not have our upgrade. Paid an additional $538. Double what I originally paid in full.. 3 months later, multiple open tickets with them and they are saying they are waiting on a response from thrifty.... how is this Business still open???

Una experiencia pésima, tengo una reclamación abierta y hasta el día de hoy no se solucionó. El pasado día 16 viajamos a Marrakech y teníamos reservado un coche de 9 plazas y nos modificaron la reserva a un coche 7 plazas si aviso. En nuestra reserva inicial del coche de 9 plazas la fianza que teníamos que dejar era de 2.700 euros. Cuando reclamamos que nos dieran el vehículo de 9 plazas que nosotros habíamos reservado nos ampliaron la fianza a 9.000 euros sin aviso de ningún tipo. Reclamamos que nos devuelvan el dinero de nuestra reserva ya que fueron ustedes los que incumplieron con reserva que nosotros hicimos para nuestro viaje, sin contar el perjuicio que esto nos ocasionó en nuestras vacaciones.
