Our children have started at Kip in the past year and have come on leaps and bounds since. They both do English and maths and their grades, work and confidence have improved. Lucy and luke have been a great help.

My son absolutely loves attending Kip McGrath and his confidence in maths has grown so much under Lucy’s tutoring. He finds the environment relaxing and friendly and the support and encouragement he has received has meant he has started to love playing with numbers again!

Wanted to send you a huge thank you for the brilliant teaching and confidence building that you have done with our daughter this year. She went into each maths exam with confidence and came out knowing that she had done her best. She got her results today and the grade 5 she achieved in maths means that so many doors are now open to her, including her first choice sixth form and A level options.
Luke is a fabulous maths teacher. He was always so patient and had a great understanding of what areas she needed to work on.
I would highly recommend Kip for any new year 11s wanting to get ahead with their exam preparation.

Luke and Lucy are both amazing. My daughter attended Kip McGrath in Acomb, York in her last year at secondary school to help improve her Maths. She has received her GCSE results today and has achieved two grades higher in Maths from the level she had started with upon joining Kip McGrath. Without the help, teaching and guidance of Luke she was lacking confidence in her ability. Luke believed in her like we did and it helped greatly in achieving the grade wanted and required at A level standards.

My daughter needed a boost with spelling and did 2 months with Lucy and co. Her confidence soared and she adored going. Her spelling caught up to where it needed to be for her age. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kip McGrath in Acomb, or book more sessions if any of my children need some help again.

Our daughter Beth began visiting Lucy a few months before her SATs. She really struggled with her reading/grammar and lacked confidence. After a few sessions, Beth was happy and confident and loved visiting Lucy. Lucy was so kind and patient and really encouraged Beth by going at her pace. Thank you!
