I recently attended the IPL and Laser course at Younique Aesthetics Training Academy. Before starting the course I completed 2 weeks of theory online, I really enjoyed this as it gave me great knowledge for the first day of practical and eased any nerves that would normally come with the first day of starting any course. The practical training was one day per week for 7 weeks. I work part-time and I’m a mum of 2 kids so 1 day training weekly suited into my life style perfectly. Lots of models were provided so we got to work on all areas of the body multiple times. Catherine the tutor is extremely knowledgeable, professional and very approachable, she explains everything in great detail and in a lovely gentle manner that is very easy to follow. Since completing my course I have started the Assessors course and hope to teach IPL/Laser in the near future. If you are considering an IPL/Laser course, I would highly recommend Younique Aesthetics.

Thank you for reviewing the Level 4 Laser and IPL Course. We are delighted that you enjoyed your course. We use both Laser and IPL medical-grade machines in our training to ensure our learners gain practical experience in both technologies.
Our online resources mean that learners can access theory, notes, videos, and quizzes at any time during their course. We also give learners access to a complimentary Core of Knowledge Online Course, which is a requirement of the regulators, RQIA in Northern Ireland, as well as being a requirement of some insurance companies.
Practical classes take place in our Newry Academy one day per week, for five weeks. Learners practice hair removal treatments, as well as skin rejuvenation treatments like vascular lesions, pigmentation and improving the signs of ageing.
Our bank of models have been patch-tested in advance and have different areas of the face and body to treat.
These areas include laser hair removal on legs, bikini line, underarms, back, chest, abdomen, lip, and chin. Skin Rejuvenation of the face, neck, chest, hands, and other areas or lesions that require treatment with IPL.
Our courses are regulated by OFQUAL and recognised internationally.
All learners will receive a certificate from the Awarding body VTCT iTEC upon successful completion of the course.
The assessor's award is a great qualification to have to get into teaching and assessing in the UK and Ireland. This is an online course with one or two practical observations conducted in our Newry Aesthetics Academy.
The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of education and training as a vocational assessor. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of vocational assessor.
