Goal of Testing
In collaboration with its clients, Trustindex conducted A/B tests on certificates and observed an average increase in conversion rates of 17.4%.
Based on the results of numerous successful tests, Trustindex has been able to refine the optimal design and placement of badges.
The purpose of this study was to further verify the most effective format and location for Trustindex badges.
The Certification was displayed on all pages of the hairpalace.co.uk website during the test, excluding the thank-you pages.
To enhance visitors’ and clients’ experience and instill confidence while browsing hairpalace.co.uk, a Trustindex Certification was incorporated throughout the website as an additional measure.
HairPalace received the following Trustindex certifications prior to the implementation of the badge on their website:

HairPalace fulfilled all our security and business integrity criteria, which enabled them to obtain the certifications and exhibit the badge throughout their website.
Result of Testing
Overall Conversion Increased by 17.4% during the 14-day testing period
Control – No certificate
The site did not have any certificates displayed in the control version.
Variant 1. (Winner) – Trusted Business badge
Variant 1 featured the Trusted Business badge type situated in the bottom left section.
The certificate was added to all pages on hairpalace.co.uk using Google Tag Manager and excluded the thank-you pages from the display. The sticky badge was made readily visible to all visitors across all devices.
The Trusted Business badge was measured to have a 17.4% increase in conversion rates.
Variant 2. – Trusted Site badge
Variant 2 was the Trusted Site Badge. The certificate was added to all pages on hairpalace.co.uk using Google Tag Manager and excluded the thank-you pages from the display. These badges were designed to be visible on all devices, ensuring that visitors could easily identify and trust the site.
The Trusted Site badge was measured to boost conversion by 11.8%.
HairPalace Hair Transplant Clinic has been using the Trusted Business badge ever since on its website.
Winner Placement
Placement 1 – Bottom left corner
To establish trust with visitors right from the moment they land on the site, the Trustindex Certificate sticky badge was positioned at the bottom left corner. By clicking on the badge, visitors can access the site’s certification modal which provides detailed information on which Trustindex certifications HairPalace Hair Transplant Clinic has obtained.
Conclusion of Trustindex Case Study
HairPalace experienced significant improvements in their overall conversions in the last 14 days, especially new visitor conversions after conducting the testing period during which 10 Trustindex Certificate badges were placed throughout their website.
The overall conversions increased by 17.4%. By increasing trust on their website, HairPalace Hair Transplant Clinic can expect to see a further increase in revenue for their business.

I love the concept but the review count recognized are only Google’s. I have a combination of reviews (30 actually) but only 10 are from Google. It would be nice to have the others recognized as well.

Cool feature, just implemented on our site. It would be good if you’ve done the testing and you think “trusted business” and bottom left location work best, maybe set these as defaults when configuring the widget code?
